Bridal Shower Venues

Sarah, on February 8, 2018 at 12:16 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 13
Where have your Bridal Showers been hosted? I'm trying to find good options for places to hold a bridal shower. My parent's have already hosted an engagement party at their house for me and I'd like to keep the stress of hosting at the house off their shoulders. Where would be a good place to hold this event? Any suggestions in the low price ranges would be greatly appreciated!

Well it’s not appropriate for you to host your own shower, and it’s up to the host to decide where it is.

    Mine was in a restaurant.

Oh, yes, I definitely understand the etiquette! The ones hosting have asked me where I'd like to have it so they can make arrangements, but I was unsure of appropriate places, especially places that won't put a burden on their budget.

A community center is usually decently priced if your house isn't an option. Or church if you have one. Also a park with cookout areas

I didn't consider my church. That is a good idea. Thank you!

Some places you might consider are restaurants, community centers and if you are religious church fellowship halls. All of these tend to be reasonably priced. Some state and national parks have buildings available for rent. Some which are very elegant with chandeliers. If your shower will be in a warm month you could have it at the local pool if it is rented out to the public. I went to a private event last summer that was hosted at the local pool and it was lovely. Only issue with that is the bugs which can be pain. Some other places are libraries, coffee shops and bakeries. If you have any historical sites in your area such as plantations, hotels or houses you might be able to have your shower there. Some museums also allow you to have events in certain rooms or in garden areas. If I was you I'd come up with a theme to work around and that will make finding the venue for the shower easier. I'll be having my shower most likely at a church fellowship hall or home of a family member.

I've co-hosted ones at the MOH's home, condo party room, and an afternoon tea at a hotel restaurant. Mine was at a cafe that had a second floor loft for private parties.

Your bridesmaid or mothers should be doing this for you.

I have had no part in planning mine, other than being asked what menu items I want.

Ours will be a couples shower, being hosted at an art gallery.

I've had a lot of friends use the basements of their churches before. I also had a friend last summer have a great shower at a local coffee shop (super cute). I would also suggest checking with local restaurants or looking into some of your favorite places to go.

My Mom is hosting mine at her home, she's renting a tent and having it catered in. My best childhood friend had a similar shower at her MILs house.

Most of my cousins have had theirs in the basement of their church. I had one friend have hers at an event center in a smaller room, two had theirs at a local golf course (they also do weddings) and another had hers in a local restaurant. The cutest one I've been to was at a bakery/coffee shop that had an upstairs loft where the shower was held.

My co-workers wife had hers at a local apple orchard, they let her use the space for free. Her Mom rented a tent that the groom and some of his friends put up for them so I think it was a fairly affordable option.

Mine is at my venue in a smaller often not used space that they gave to us gratis. I believe its being catered in with a omelet and waffle guy with a ton of champagne!
