If you are having a theme for your wedding, is your bridal shower going to be the same theme/colors?

FMIL/MOH are planning the shower and they are going with coral and white. My wedding colors are navy, coral, and light gray so there is some relation. I don't think they need to be the same though.

My mom planned my shower so it would coordinate with my wedding. However, since I never chose wedding colors, she just used all white table linens and clear dishes to serve food in (my shower was catered by my family and it was amazing!) and then did different colored potted flowers for the centerpieces on the tables. It was really cute!

Very simple just like our wedding.

My BMs and both mothers are planning mine - they'll use the same color scheme (though it wasn't necessary) but that'll be the only relation to my wedding. I don't think it's absolutely necessary for them to be matching.

My sister is doing the same colors for my shower as I'm using for my wedding. My dress for the shower matches the colors of my wedding too

This year for us has been so different - every shower invitation that we have done has had nothing to do with the wedding colors! Clients just saw what they liked and went for it! There is no right or wrong! Have fun!

I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it, but yes, mine did sort of match. My MIL and SIL threw my shower and had a peacock theme. Although my wedding was not exactly "peacock" themed, I did incorporate the peacock colors and feathers.

Our wedding colors are navy and yellow and since it will take place at the beach it has a bit of a nautical theme. My shower was planned by the bridesmaids . It was a brunch held in a historical hotel. The colors were red and black, and the theme was shoes. So my two events did not coordinate at all, but it did not matter to me.

My wedding is apple red, ivory and burlap/tan and very rustic. My shower is going to be the original idea I had for the wedding (but would have been too pricey to pull off given our budget and number of guests) and it's vintage (1950's) garden party. My mom and I have found some great deals on vintage china, punch bowls, linens and silk flowers. It's going to be very sweet, elegant and light. Since it will be in July, that's a good thing! Summer dresses and old fashioned hats with lemonade and spiked iced tea. I already got a dress and some pink pearls. So excited for it!

My wedding colors are mint and gold. I believe the shower will have the same color scheme.

I have NO clue. Some may remember, I had a post awhile back about how my mom isn't a fan of purple and our wedding colors are plum and gray. We'll see where she goes with everything for the shower!

My mom keeps asking me if i want it disney themed, because that is what my wedding is... but with how hard it is to plan the wedding, i think it would be too hard so i really didn't want that! so i'm glad i'm not the only one!

from the showers and weddings i've been to, i couldn't remember if they had anything to do with each other!

My shower was tropical themed since the ex and I were going to Caribbean for our honeymoon.

Our wedding is super bright, fun, with some touches of county fair.

I'm a total country girl, I wear my boots daily and love lace. We didn't do a burlap and lace wedding because I don't like how trendy it is. However I'm really glad that my MOHs took it for the shower! My other shower was a tea party and we all wore hats! They were both different from the wedding and other shower.

For my first shower, no correlation. My wedding colors are fall colors. My future in-laws threw me a shower with a red, white, and black color scheme. (Red rose theme)

The second one, which will be later this summer, I have no idea. It's going to be a surprise.

I don't know. My shower was at a French Bistro - lots of yellows and blue in their decor. I had a high tea bridal shower. My wedding is taking place in a rose garden/courtyard and reception at an upscale restaurant with an old world feel. Wedding colors are gold, ivory, with pops of misty blue and blush.

Our wedding colors are blue, purple, and silver and we're doing a baseball / Phillies theme. My first shower was shoe themed with pink and black. My second shower was wine themed with a little more blue and purple in it.

My MOH is throwing my shower and she asked if I wanted the same colors at the wedding I said I didn't care. She was relieved because she didn't want everything to be so matchy matchy. I won't know until the day of though

My showers incorporated the colors of our wedding somewhat, but really nothing had a theme, and neither does our wedding.
