bridal shower with guys?

I'd like to celebrate with my friends before the reception, but most of them are guys. I'm having a bachelorette party with a few girlfriends.

I know bridal showers are typically for the bride, her aunts, mother, mother-in-law and other ladies in her life... Is it okay to have a bridal shower with guy friends too? I guess I can just call it something else?

    Some couples have a couples shower, to which both men and women are invited.

    ^Yes, jack and jill showers. I think this would be perfectly acceptable.

    I'm the same way. I have few... okay only one girlfriend, the rest are guys. They had a party for us - kinda like a bridal shower.

    Ours is gonna be co-ed. I wanted my fh to be involved in as much as possible. Let him enjoy the celebrating too

    Call it a wedding shower, no reason to keep it just about the bride.

    You can, though I really dont know any males who would truly ENJOY a bridal shower-they might come and put a smile on, but they really dont want to be there. Unless, that is, you alter it to make it more guy friendly.

    I haven't been to a bridal shower in a while, in my entourage we only do couples' shower, we don't like to make everything all about the bride, after all the groom is getting married too. It's fine, do whatever you want

    I would definitely make the activities gender neutral. No "making wedding dresses out of toilet paper" or "what's in your purse" scavenger hunt, etc. =D
