Bridal Shower Wrapping Paper

rica, on March 13, 2018 at 8:28 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 16

I'm attending a bridal shower next week, and I realized I've only ever gone to one with my mom as a kid. I have a really ridiculous question. How to you wrap the gifts? Is bridal shower wrapping paper a thing? Is it necessary?

They do sell it in stores.. But I really recommend a bow. Sometimes the bows on the gifts from the showers are made into a "boquet" that the bride carries at the rehearsal.. or can be made into a hat? I don't know it's just a tradition from around where I live.

I think as long as it doesn't say Happy Birthday or have snowmen and reindeer all over the paper your probably fine. And if they are registered at bed bath and beyond you can just wrap it there at their gift wrapping station.

Just anything that looks bridal should be fine. Even something silver and white. Or find out what their colors will be and wrap in that color.

I stick to white or metallic wrapping paper so I can also use it for other non-wedding gifts in the future. +1 on the bows, I didn't know that for my first few weddings and didn't understand what the MOH was doing in the corner!!

The last shower I went to, probably about half were wrapped in that silver and white wrapping paper from Bed Bath and Beyond because that is where they were registered. I just wrapped it in their wedding colors (which was also the theme of the shower), and I put a bow on it.

Last wedding I just found silver and white patterned paper and used that. And yes to the bow. Around here, the bow “bouquet” is very much a thing.

I usually do something girly - floral, white and silver stripes, etc. I love gift wrapping so I always have a million different colors of ribbon to tie bows with!

Most of our shower gifts were in floral wrap or plain solid white/pink/purple. i think we did get a couple of "bride" themed bags too.

I have bought "wedding dress" wrapping paper. Super cute.. gray with white dresses all over it! Or just use a bag. Can get both at the dollar tree.

Add a bow. Use any wrapping paper that isn't obviously for Christmas/Birthday/Etc.

My FMIL threw me a shower this past weekend, and everyone just did purple(my colors) or silver/white. BUT I got a majority of BAGS which meant NOT ONE BOW. 😱 my poor FMIL was like “how are we going to do the bouquet!?” Luckily my MOH’s mom who is like a 2nd mom to me is super crafty. She took all the tissue paper from the various bags and in seconds made a beautiful tissue paper flower! So all of mine are tissues flowers. Smiley smile it is a neat thing to have!

A lot of mine were wrapped in pineapple paper (William Sonoma wrapped them) which was cute. One friend only had Christmas wrapping paper (which I only have as well) so she just turned it inside out and had white. Worked great! I'd just use the back of something I have or a bag and definitely include a bow.
