I’m getting married in October my shower is this weekend. Almost a month before my wedding date. I think that’s enough time to take a step back and celebrate without feeling overwhelmed. Hope this helps.

I'd say anywhere from 1-3 months before is appropriate. My wedding is 9/23/22 and we're looking at end of July for the shower.

My wedding is 9/2/22 and my shower will be 7/30/22, my mom wanted it a little earlier, but my cousin is getting married 7/10/22 and her shower is 6/5/22 and since we'll have a lot of the same family present my mom didn't want to overwhelm people with wedding activities
