My fiance and I are currently planning our wedding and looking into eloping in Savannah GA with a small group of family and friends. We will also be throwing a big back yard bbq party a few months after. I want some input on having a bridal shower should it be done after the elopement and before the party with the invited guest to the party or before the elopement.

A big backyard BBQ sounds like a fun celebration Where will you have the BBQ? Do you have a venue in mind yet?
Since you are planning to include a small number of guests, what you’re describing is a small intimate destination wedding, as opposed to an elopement. In this case, it would totally be ok for someone to host a bridal shower for you before your wedding ceremony and invite the guests who will be joining you at your wedding!
