Bridal Shower

I'm having a smaller wedding ceremony and then having a bigger reception. For the bridal shower should I only invite those who are invited to the ceremony? Or would it be fine to also invite people who are only invited to the reception?

When you say you're having a smaller ceremony, do mean mean family only? Are you in the US? Typically, if you're having anything other than an immediately-family-only wedding and then a larger reception, it's considered a tiered wedding--in the US, that's typically rude to do.

Honestly, I wouldn't invite anyone to a bridal shower--wherein the whole point is to give gifts because you're witnessing and celebrating the couple's marriage--that wasn't fully invited to the wedding.
