Bridal Shower

Erin, on July 27, 2019 at 9:46 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 4
I haven’t been to many weddings in my life, and I have only been to one, maybe two bridal showers. So naturally I have a lot of questions! Who plans the bridal shower? What does it entail?? How do I go about doing any of it?? Help haha

Anyone can host a shower except the couple themselves. It’s typically thrown by a close friend or relative. Usually they consist of food, games, chatting, and opening gifts.

As long as it isn't you or your future spouse, anyone can host. Some have games, some don't. Most food, mingling, and opening presents.

    Hi Erin Smiley smile

Traditionally, a bridal shower is an all-female celebration to honor the bride. Guests enjoy some food and games. The bride then opens her shower gifts in front of everyone.

There are quite a few people in a bride's life you can throw a bridal shower for her, including the maid of honor, bridesmaids, family friends, etc. All the potential hosts are detailed in this article - Who Hosts a Bridal Shower?

Anyone can host it - just not yourselves. My mom, aunts, MOH, and Matron of Honor are hosting it for me. It usually occurs 1 - 3 months before the wedding.

Usually it involves light snacking as well as some games if it is wanted!

I'm the first to get married of my parents children so no one really knows etiquette. I just went to my mom and asked if she wanted to plan my bridal shower to which she excitedly said yes Smiley smile
