That is the extent of any shower planning the bride can participate in.
If your coworkers, fellow churchgoers, book club mates choose to host a shower, they decide the guest list.

Same as above - you can invite whoever you want - as long as you invite them to the wedding as well 😀

Are you hosting the shower for the bride? I would ask her if there is anyone specific that she wants invited. It is typically bridal party members, close friends, and family.

Oh okay. As I said in my initial comment, bridal shower guests are typically your bridal party members, close friends, and family members. You can also invite your FMIL and FSIL if you have one. A lot of our parents close friends, that we each grew up with, were also invited.

I did FH grandparents and cousins (who are coming to the wedding) and then my aunts mom sisters and grandmas. My FMIL is throwing the shower.
