Bridal shower

So my bridal shower is this coming Sunday... pretty sure I have to cancel my Cabo bachelorette, my wedding is May 15 so just missed the 8 week cut off but still uncertain.

Should I cancel my bridal shower? There’s only 20-25 of us... I’m sure some people won’t show up.
this really sucks guys

I absolutely *hate* to say this: but, yes, I think you should.

This is awful, and it's not remotely fair, but every person who went would have to go out in public, and any one of them could come in contact with the virus.

    I'm so, so sorry.

I know my friends and I are talking about having video-dinners. Perhaps you could at least have a large video chat? Just to see people?

I am not planning to cancel mine this Saturday unless absolutely forced to. 30 people. We are in a private room at a restaurant, private bathroom. We have no cases in our immediate area (though many in the state). If the governor chooses to close restaurants and bars, we will hold it open house style at my house. We’ve already gotten an email chain going to let people know we plan to press on but will update via email with any changes.

I live in the ct area and I had my bridal shower yesterday. It was at my mother in laws house and we only had 20 people. It was fine, everyone washed their hands, we used tooth picks for finger foods and such to keep people from touching food with their hands. No one felt sick and we had a good time. We definitely kept it short, it was maybe 3 hours long. Now we just have to wait and see if we still have a wedding date or not 😂 tryna keep positive!!!!!

Mine got cancelled for next weekend, so I understand your concern. Where I live, restaurants, bars and other things have closed. We are not supposed to be in social gatherings of more than 10. My sister is a nurse and asked the opinion of some doctors and they advised to cancel/postpone. Needless to say, I cried and was heartbroken, but I know it’s best especially since a few guests are in the high risk category.
