Bridal shower?

Allyson, on March 23, 2020 at 12:15 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 4
Hey everyone!! I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas for what to do for the bridal shower since we can’t be in tight quarters or have a large groups of people? Ideas???

Both of my bridal showers are coming up (April 5 and April 26) and plan A for at least one of them is cancelled. For the April 5th shower we are thinking of a FB live stream or a watch party or something. Haven’t figured out details yet but somehow we are going to record us opening gifts so our guests can see.
For my other shower my FMIL suggested have a “drop off gift” shower where we gather at their (in laws) house, and wait for guests to come by and drop off the gift, we’ll open it, take a photo with them and then they leave.

Honestly, I don’t like either idea because they are not what I had envisioned or planned but, I realized that are options are limited right now. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️My second shower is not canceled as of yet so that’s a backup plan but my April 5th was at a restaurant so that’s definitely not happening. 😕

I would suggest you cancel. No more than ten people and each 6 feet + apart at all times doesn't exactly sound like a party, nor does having a party at this time sound like a safe or good idea.

Hi Allyson! I'm sorry you're having to rethink plans. Last week I attended a virtual birthday party for my best friend - we each grabbed some snacks and drinks and hopped on a Google Hangout, though Teams or Skype or anything like that would work. We played jackbox games but I bet lots of the more traditional shower games could be played too - the shoe game, quizzes about how well everyone knows the bride, the newlywed (nearlywed!) game... Do you think something like that might let you keep the original date while keeping everyone safely at home?
