I had a registry so they got whatever was on that. Usually the registry you have for your wedding you can use for your shower

View Quoted Comment That's usually what you register for. We already live together, so ours was upgrades and replacements for things that we needed. We also put some nice to have items like a mini food processor, instant pot, and bar cart.

Put things on your registry that: 1. you wouldn't ordinarily buy for yourself (but you want); 2. upgrades of things you already have (sheets/bedding, towels, dishes, pots and pans, etc.); 3. decor items for your house/apartment (art, rugs, curtains, etc.); and 4. add things in every price range ($50 or less; $50-$100; and $100+) so that there are items that fit into everyone's budget.

Make sure you have your registry up and running before the shower, as that is where your guests will look to know what kind of gift to get you.

For my shower I got all kitchen things, mostly everyday items but some specialty items, like cookbooks, suuuuuper big mixing bowls, serving bowls and casserole dishes, nice cutting boards...
