I haven't had a Bridal Shower yet but I would neither wear black, nor white to be honest.

I've found a dress I would like to have but I don't think my figure will allow it (glitter pailette in ocean blue), so I guess I will opt for a nice summer dress in elegant fabrics or similar.

As you are getting married around Christmas, maybe go for a nice dress in red or dark green instead of black?

    Good luck! Smiley smile

I wore a black wrap dress with brown stripes and black heels. I thought about wearing white/ivory/or even a light tan, but went with what I knew I would be comfortable in. My girls gave me a blinged-out tiara with pink feathers that read "bride-to-be." Most "bride-to-be" stuff is pink. I wish I would have thought about that and thought to better coordinate. Ha.

What are your wedding colors? Maybe a dress in one of your colors?

I'm not having a shower this time around but I wore a black linen dress to my first shower. I don't think it even remotely occurred to me to wear white. I don't ever think I knew that was a "thing" at showers.

I will probably not wear white to mine - I'm not a white clothing person (I'm afraid of spilling). Where whatever color you want! :-)

I say wear whatever you're the most comfortable in. There is no rule that says you can't wear black. Smiley smile

I'm wearing this dress - it happens to be in the white/cream family, but that was just by chance and not planned.

If you want to wear black, wear it! Its your shower.

I hate dressy showers, so mine was super casual. I wore this awesome Hulk shirt with a sweet cardigan.

Mine is in one week....I didn't even think to dress up at all...

I've been to one bridal shower, ever. I wasn't planning on having one, until FH's aunt insisted that she would host it for me. I was just going to wear jeans and maybe a slightly decent shirt (meaning anything other than a t-shirt). Colors hadn't even occurred to me... :\

My MOH is throwing me a tea party at a historic tea house. It is between these dresses:

Is there a theme? Is it casual? What kind of look are you going for?

@Bijoux thats a good idea wearing red. My wedding is 3 days after Christmas. @WeddingDestinationItaly very pretty dresses. Also, I don't have any shower details. All I know is the date and time and that it is at a venue :/

I wore something fun! I was suppose to wear leopard print booties, but couldn't because I sprained my ankle and wasn't able to walk in heels, so I had to substitute with some gold sparkly flats.

My orig wedding date was for 5/10/14 but since now we are getting married in Dec 11, 2013, I had to choose something more warmer, so I am wearing a A-line taupe colored dress with a matching cardigan, and with orange accents (scarf and pendant) with brown sling backs.
