Bridal showers ? Yay or nay?

Most times brides make a registry at the place of your choice, or two places. Even if you already live together you can always select updated appliances etc. or things that you may need more of or don’t have. It can be very beneficial for you!

And a fun time for the all the ladies to get together and celebrate you and your big day!

The point is to shower the bride with gifts and play fun games. To eat and just be generally excited.

You don't need one, but they are nice. They help set up your new life with your FH. Even if a bride thinks she has all she needs, sometimes it's nice to start with new.

No it's not necessary its to shower the bride and celebrate her with gifts, games, advice, encouragement and Love!

Pre wedding events in general are not necessary but showers are so fun !!

I didn’t want one yet my mother insisted and tried to throw a surprise one (found out and was beyond salty) I’m 47 now and just shy of 48 when I marry for the first time. For me, I see no point as I’ve owned homes since I was 25 and have no need to register for house and kitchen trinkets I don’t need. Honestly would liked to have had a mixed ‘celebration’ as I find bridal showers old fashioned and boring.
