I’ve always enjoyed face masks but my skincare routine definitely changed once I was engaged! With 39 days left I have a pretty set routine now.

-A mud mask every Tuesday or Wednesday
-A sheet mask every Saturday or Sunday
-Cleanse and tone my face daily
-Moisturizer with SPF every morning

It’s kind of silly but I actually purchased a boob mask/scrub kit since I have sensitive skin and my dress shows off some cleavage. 😂

Has anyone else gone crazy for face masks? What routines or products do you all enjoy?

I need to get on this even though my date isn’t until 2021.
right now I’m a fan of lush’s tea totaler cleansing bar, their tea tree toner. I also use or try to use their dark angels scrub every 2-3 days and I like their jelly mask just to clarify.
I do need help finding a good and affordable lotion and SPF.

I’m obsessed with face oil. I know you think oil, on your face? But it actually keeps your face from getting oily by tricking your face to think it already produced the oil, so your face ends up producing less oil. I also love leave on face masks and sleep masks for deep hydration. Basically anything that hydrates my skin I hate the look of dull dry skin. I also will exfoliate every other day with a scrub like st ives grapefruit scrub or a chemical exfoliate like Boscia.

I use a Detox & Moisturizing mask 2x a week, a polishing exfoliator every other day (super oily skin and the changing weather messes with my skin) and of course wash my face daily. I also have a lip scrub and balm i use every other day. 😊

Very nice! I need to get on it! My big day is less than 2 months away. I used to be a face mask, facials and skin care junkie.. and, now I'm like just a mom, housekeeper and cook so I've been really slacking on self care. Thanks for the tips and motivation 👏

Love it! I went crazy for skincare, nail care, and hair care the 6 months prior. For my face, I got microdermabrasion, facials, and microneedling monthly. Right before the wedding, I got botox, an O2 facial, and dermaplanning. I did a lash lift & tint too! I had a consistent at home skincare routine. I was SO happy the day of the wedding with my skin & hair & nails, I'm so happy I put in the extra time.

How did you like the lash lift and tint?? I love the look of full and long lashes but I don't have the skill to apply false lashes everyday and I'm not a huge fan of lash extensions on myself. Also, how long did it take you to find a skincare routine that worked for you? Currently I'm attempting Curology because i heard great things about it, and my skin has improved but I'm not over the moon about it yet. I want to give it another month before moving on.

I love skin care but honestly I got really more into it after I was all done with the wedding. Is now my new hobby. I recommend to add a serum to your routine for morning and night and apply after your toner and before your moisturizer.
Now do this after the wedding! You don’t want to change your routine with 39 days left.

I want to say I loved it...but I hated it hahahaha! I had never had one before (huge mistake on my part, I should have tried it a few months earlier to test it) but I had lash extensions so I thought it would be similar. My eyelashes didn't react super great, they were WAY over-processed on one side, they were basically straight up instead of curved. I had to go back the next day (I did it 1 week before the wedding) to have them relaxed, then put coconut oil on them 3-5 times a day to help them heal quicker from being over-processed with the perm formula then relaxer. I really liked the tint, that was great. And the eye that reacted normal looked STUNNING. Like so pretty. Since your wedding isn't for over a year, I'd just try one now and see if you like it. I hired a stylist for our wedding day, she put on my fake lashes. For the rehearsal dinner, one of my BM did my HAMU.
It took me around 2-3 months. I tried Curology for 2 months and it didn't do much for me. Prior I had been to a dermatologist who didn't do much either, and I went to 3 salons before finally finding one I liked. I finally found an esthetician that worked really well with me and was super experienced. I think doing the monthly professional treatments was super helpful too. I have bad cystic acne & a lot of congestion in my face. My whole life, I've been using abrasive & drying products thinking my skin was oily and that was the issue. Doing that actually caused too much dryness & all my congestion. So I was able to find a good cleanser, toner & lotion to use in the mornings, a cleanser, toner, serum & lotion to use at night, and a few masks & exfoliants I used a couple times a week. I think eating healthier & drinking more water helped a lot too.

I agree! I used hyaluronic acid most days, and occasionally vitamin C serum. I'm so happy with both, they've done wonders for my skin! I only use it at night though, I can feel it on my skin so I can't do it during the day.

Thank you for the honest response! I think I'm going to try it now because I've really wanted to do it! I was doing facials which helped but it did end up being really costly especially this far out (I wasn't doing it just for wedding prep but just to handle acne in general) and I really did enjoy it but I think I might have to start doing every other month or something. When I was doing them she told me the same ting. She said I actually have dry skin and my face was over producing to make up for the lack of hydration so now a lot of my products are aimed towards hydration and not drying acne products.

I think it's a great idea to try now & learn how your eyelashes respond. Yeah I totally understand the cost thing, that's why I only did professional ones 6 months out and less then a skincare routine at home! And even then, I spent around $2,500 just on skincare treatments haha so that was kind of insane still! I'm glad you learned like I did, it was super helpful to me!
