Hey everyone, I just wanted to know if the bride is supposed to go to the tux fitting? To choose colors and what not. Let me know opinions. Thanks!

I would think you had to.

We actually just went last weekend and we picked out the colors and styles of the jackets. I don't think you have to go when the GM go and get measures though thats something simple...

If I don't have to work when FH goes to get his tux fitted I'll come with him. His mom would come along, she can get the hook up because of her job and is a bit familiar with the area. We have to make an hour-hour and a half drive to the tux place since FH is big and tall.

I went with H but he wanted me to come along and help. And also we talked about general color scheme decisions together anyway, so that fell into that category.

I went with FH about a month ago to decide what him and the guys are going to wear i.e. colours, ties, vests, style, etc. He also got sized and put down his deposit. He's going to set it up sometime this week for the other guys and ring bearer to go get sized. I'm going with my dad when he comes to visit us in 2 1/2 weeks.

We chose the wedding colors based on his tux vest choice. I did give him some ideas tho. He said he wanted a black shirt and the other guys in different shirts. I just told him to make sure and get them ivory and not white (my dress is ivory). I think I am letting them have a boys day to get measurments and what not.

Wow. Looks like no one has any faith in the abilities of their men. That's sad. As far as colors, swatches should be sufficient.

Not sure if it is the same, but I went with hubby to pick his suit jacket, dress pants and tie. He wanted me to go along, his Best Man lives in Chicago. I would offer this: if your fiance wants it to be guy thing, he goes with his crew. If you are nervous about his color choices and getting it right, you could go to the beginning of the appt then leave and grab a coffee.

Absolutely not! If she got him to agree to a tuxedo its already a win for her. He knows what looks good on him. After all it's not just about her!!😡

We looked together online to get an idea of what we thought would look good but I let him and his best man go together to try on and get fitted.
