I was wondering if anybody had any ideas for a bride to groom gift for my hubby to be. We have been together for 6 years and it seems that i have given him everything i can think of. He collects knives and swords, & i have given him so many of them, along with many pocket watches & tools. We are going to Italy for our honeymoon and he is really looking forward to it b/c he has always wanted to go to Rome, & we are leaving that night, so i cant get a suite to stay in our first night. I just have no where to go. One thing i am doing is i have kept a diary, so to speak, of things we have done together, including updates of the wedding planning, and how our house we are building together is coming along. I've kept up with it since he proposed, so it will be a years worth of info. I plan on giving this to him as part of the wedding gift. I would just like something else to give him.....any ideas? Preferably not expensive and useful.

Love twice, i really think thats a cute idea. I have found out one other thing to get him.... well im not exactly going to count it as a "gift" though. What i am doing is putting together an "emergency kit" for the wedding day. I putting things in it like black socks with a note attatched saying "in case you get cold feet" and breathmints saying "cause we are "mint" for each other" I have about 30 items to put in there and a lot of people like the idea, so anyone is welcome to steal the idea... just leave me a message and i will send the list of what i have so far... However, i still am looking for a useful gift. Its really difficult cause i have bought him a nice digital camera about 2 years ago. What do you guys think about getting a sword or dagger engraved?

Candace love the "emergency kit" idea it is really cute! I might have to steal your idea...

As for a gift for you soon to be hubby. Well what I am doing is having my sister take some cute somewhat sexy photos of me. My fiance is a sports fanatic so I am going to get some cute sports outfits of his favorite teams and make a "for his eyes only" photo book. I was thinking about buying him a watch but he never really wears one. I like your engraved sword or dagger idea. You definitely should get him something that he enjoys to collect or is passionate about.

Good luck and hope this helped a little.

Hi! I am going to get my fiance a really nice watch, one that he would probably never spend the money on him self and get it engraved. I can't think of anything else that he would be happy to get and he likes watches! Just an idea...

I was in your situtation but I did find a perfect gift. My f/h & I have been together for 12 yrs and getting married in Nov. '09 and he has all the tools in the world. He is into Nascar Racing so this idea could not be more perfect, I bought 2 tickets to a Nascar race near our home town for the day after our wedding. I am packing our bags, leaving the kiddos and not telling him where we are going until we get there. Going to a race is all he has been talking about (has not been able to go this year). Just think about another hobby or interest that he has. Hope this helps

Hi, I'm not sure if this would lend itself to your diary idea that your mentioned, but instead of the diary, you might consider one of our "For My Groom" relationship journals. (It is actually the photo in the icon there for my company).

It is a sweet little relationship journal that you fill in (suggested topics) with thoughts about your relationship, memories, and thoughts about your wedding & married life together.

    For more information: http://www.lilangelgifts.com/groom.html

The original post was some time back, so if I've missed your wedding, you might want to consider the "For Our Anniversary" journal for your first anniversary (which is paper): http://www.lilangelgifts.com/anniversary-journal.html

Best of luck coming up with that 2nd part of the gift you were hoping for.

Make him a unique gift. Get him a cartoon or a portrait from his photo) It will be surprising and great gift. And this present will be forever on his wall so it's a memorable gift. If you are interested I ordered such a gift here: https://www.photolamus.com/
