Bride's Choice of Alcoholic Beverage on Wedding Day

Mrs., on March 7, 2012 at 11:49 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 29

My Bridesmaids have already started asking what my choice of alcoholic beverage will be for the Wedding day. My Wedding is from 6pm-midnight, so I have to take it slllloooowww (and we like to party, btw!) So, what are you all drinking the day of so you won't end up a little too tipsy once the Wedding begins and do you all have a specialty drink you all will be drinking at the Reception? In the morning: Mimosas---Afternoon: Champagne---Reception: Something delicious!

I drank Coors Light all evening long. Actually, I chugged a six pack during pictures during the cocktail hour. I had an empty stomach, so it wasn't my smartest move. But, hey, I was thirsty!

Me and my BMs are going to start the day with georgiapolitians with breakfast Smiley smile

Then about an hour before the ceremony we are taking a shot.

and I will probably have one or two mixed drinks at the reception.

I'm sticking to champagne all night! I love the stuff and I plan on having a case of it in my parents truck since the venue doesn't include champagne in the open bar

I did mimosas in the morning, a beer waiting for the ceremony to start, 2 Jag bombs and 2 beers between the wedding and reception, a bottle of champagne during the reception and 1 rum punch. It was a fun night.

I'll probably stay mostly alcohol free until after the ceremony.Ceremony is at 12:30. Maybe a little champagne and OJ in the morning.

For the reception, probably white wine or gin and 7up (my 2 favorites).

See the problem with me is I love everything...which leads to a wicked hangover the next day. I am going to have sips of champagne while getting ready and during the toast, then drink miller lite all night long. I know, classsssy.

I'm hoping to stick to water and champagne. May add a little chambord to the bubbly. I want to make sure I don't overdo it.

I will be having a glass or two of champagne throughout the day and probably vodka at night. My MOH is in charge of feeding me pb&j sandwiches and water thoughout the day so that I don't get too tipsy Smiley smile

I'll probably skip the alcohol for the day. I get drunk very quickly and I also don't feel like having to pee every 15 minutes (another awesome side effect of drinking). It's such a shame though, since we're having a full open bar. Damn me and my low tolerance for alcohol!

I'm going with Chambord Vodka in everything for the day. in my Grapefruit juice in the morning in my Iced tea while getting ready and for the reception a nice Muscato with a shot of chambord vodka... going to try to go slow but it's so rediculously drinkable I may have to be carried out of my own wedding... but I cant think of any other drink that feels right for the occaision for me. I'm usually a Wiskey Ginger drinker but that doesn't feel bridal to me...I'm now obsessed with the stuff I'm a little too excited that chambord decided lets just throw the flavoring in with vodka save our customers a step in drink prep genius!

@Labake- I found the backwards peeing technique effective and I even peed on my own once. :-)
