Brides getting ready in robe

Usually when brides wear robes, it’s so they do not have to wear a bra under it in order to avoid strap marks in strapless dresses. It’s totally OK to not wear a bra under there! Just cinch that robe up good LOL

I had to travel to the place to get hair and makeup done, I wore a strapless bathing suit coverup

My dress was strapless so I wore a strapless bra and underwear under my robe with leggings to travel and just the robe and underwear under at the venue before getting ready. Decided last minute not to wear the bra under my dress. You could always do a loose fitting tank top under your robe if you want to avoid lines from a bra. My robe kept coming close to opening and almost flashing everyone.

I wore a long white silk robe and night gown.

A tank top would have to be cut down the front in order to not undo the hairdresser/makeup artists’ work. That’s why it’s suggested to wear a button up shirt with leggings. Plus that is less revealing than robes which many are not comfortable wearing in front of others because they are so short and don’t hide much.

As a bridesmaid anytime I have to wear a getting ready robe, I wear biker shorts and a strapless bra underneath.

I'm doing a robe and wearing a silk romper under.

I have a robe with a slip type nightie underneath. The straps can be slipped off so I can step out of it when I put the dress on, but the top is wide enough that I could also pull it over my head without ruining anything.

But, you should wear whatever you think is comfortable, for sure!

I’m in the button down shirt leggings camp. No bra. I want to be comfy getting ready. Plus I don’t want to pull anything over my head after it’s done.
