Brides of 2020! Show us your ring!

June 15th my then boyfriend, and now FIANCE!!!!, went out to dinner with his parents, brother and brothers girlfriend, as well as my mom and our next door neighbor, who's basically my moms adopted mom and me adopted grandma lol. No one advised me against eating the clams and linguine and I wish they had because of course, I got it all over me... I'm 22 and still needing a bib apparently lol!

Fast forward to after dinner: there was a nice little boardwalk next to the place we ate at. His brother and his girlfriend said they wanted to go for a walk down the board walk and I was game for it. I had originally wanted to get a picture with my man on the boardwalk but after getting dinner all over myself I explained I no longer wanted a picture. My man doesn't really like taking pictures so I figured he'd just let it go but he was insistent on getting one and so that was a little flag that popped up. The second huge flag was that his brother was walking with his phone right next to his chest like he was videoing and he wasn't being inconspicuous AT ALL. So they tried to play it off like we were taking a picture and so we were standing there like idiots doing poses for a minute and a half lol

So finally I asked if he was done taking pictures and he said he was, so I turned to my man and asked then why were we still standing there and thats when he turned to face me and said, "Because..." as he was getting down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I almost made us fall into the water with how hard I went down to hug him, but thankfully we did not go backwards or fall over completely lol

About the ring: it's all custom. The sapphire is from my grandmother's ring. Her and I as well as her mom (my great grandmother who I share a birthday with. She turned 80 the day I was born and passed 3 months before our birthday where she would have been 100 and I was turning 20). I was extremely close to her, she was like my second mom. I now have been acquiring most of her sapphire pieces of jewelry. So my honey took the sapphire from her ring and put it into my ring as the main stone. The band had to be custom made to fit such a large stone. It's a white gold setting with diamonds in the infinity shape (I have a tiffany ring with the infinity symbol going all the way around the band so he wanted to keep that for my ring as he knows how much I love that ring) and just the single sapphire in the center. It matches the heart necklace I wear of hers that is also diamonds and sapphires.

We have already set a date for February 1, 2020 because the date of 2/1 means: As two (2) become one (1). I've had our wedding planned since about our 6 month anniversary of dating... we've been together for 1 year, 1 month, and 10 days (I know this because of my counter that I have on my phone lol)
