When we got engaged, we were in Laguna Beach. He was there working for two weeks and when he first found out that e would have to be there, he booked me a flight to meet him out there in the middle of it.

A few months go by and it's time for me to fly out to Laguna. The first day I get there, we had dinner plans at Studio, the restaurant at the Montage resort. It's a beautiful resort that you can walk right down to the beach from, so before dinner, we went down to walk the beach and that's when it happened. My fiancé is an attorney but one of his hidden talents is that he has a hand for drawing and painting. He travels a lot for work so for a couple of months leading up to our engagement, he had his drawing pad with him. He started sketching this piece for me a few months prior, adding to it here and there in his spare time while away (when he’s home we’re together, so kind of hard to do then). His sketches are snippets from events we’ve gone to, places we’ve traveled, things we’ve done together, over the time we’ve been dating. So before he got down on one knee, he handed me that. I started looking at it, recognizing everything he had drawn and was completely blown away. I flipped it over and there was a note on the back. It was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. I was so shocked, happy, every emotion. Then I turn to him and he was on one knee. I could cry thinking about the moment 😢 After I said yes and we were hugging, a photographer came out of hiding and then we did a full-on engagement shoot. It was incredible. He did such an amazing job
