I'm so sad to say that we had to cancel the day of the engagement party!
My make-up artist/hairstylist fell through (she's still pretty sick, poor girl!), and a few family members cancelled at the last minute, which left us with a total of 4 guests instead of the 12 we anticipated. We just decided to nip it in the butt, as apparently "it isn't common to have an engagement party" in my family? I don't know, the FH and I are pretty bummed about it!!!

Aww, bummer!!! Sorry to hear you had to cancel. Engagement parties aren't common in my family either, I've never known someone who had one. You and your fiance could plan a special date night for just you two to celebrate your engagement!
