You *may* be able to do a nice brunch wedding at a wedding venue (hotel, restaurant, etc) if you can keep the total PP to $50 or less (including tax, service fees, drinks). But choosing a cheaper venue and getting it catering may help save more money. Or doing an afternoon wedding (2 pm) with light refreshments and cake (totally fine not to offer a full meal during a non-mealtime).

To save money: skip programs & favors. Companies like Zazzle, VistaPrint, Shutterfly have frequent sales on wedding invites.

I had a $15,000 budget and now my wedding is costing 28,000😅 I wish you luck on staying within your budget and I hope you’re able to do it lol because I am going to have to take out a loan for my wedding

It looks like you have time, so maybe some DIY some things? I'm going to make wine and print labels myself to give each guest a bottle of wine. Not including my time (this will be something I enjoy doing), favors will come out to around $1/person.

I'm on a 10,000 budget and I'm actually having problems ok what to exclude. I'm thinking of doing a small cake for us and cake pops for the guest (found ideas on pintrest). We saved a lot.of money on the venue so that was a plus but I'm thinking of knocking down the guest list because caterer's are quoting me way out my budget where I live.

Hi! Thanks for response. Unfortunately more people, more money. My fiancé and I are thinking getting married through court with only parents, siblings, and our daughter. Do a dinner after. With our friends we’re going to celebrate with them at Vegas . It’s still up in the air. I believe it’s best decision for us financially because we want to save for a home.

We have a 10,000 budget for our wedding as our venue is all inclusive. Pretty manageable with our guess count as we are having a micro wedding. the venue, videographer, and day of coordinator are the most expensive. We are doing fake flowers that look real and passing on favors as they are a waste in my personal opinion. Having a videographer was important to me but if you want to skip that cost you can just hire a photographer for a few hours for a few hundred dollars. You may need to cut your guest count to stay in budget unless someone besides your fiancé and you are helping with the cost of the wedding.

What kind of wedding are you having for $28,000? What is your guest count?

    70.

$6k venue, $1500 hair/ makeup (for myself & 4 others), dessert $600, day of coordinator $750, officiant $550, food $2k, main photographer $6,500, second photographer $600, videographer $3,550, $1250 DJ, Decor $2k, then we have to supply drinks for the bar so another $2k roughly. That doesn’t include my dress which was $2100 before alterations, his suit or any dinnerware rentals

Wow that is outrageous for the amount of guests you are having. Did you consider taking some of those things out or looking for better deals so you aren’t taking loans out for a wedding. Did you look around for a photographer as you can find a better deal elsewhere. I am only paying $1,500 for mine and he has great work. Along with cutting out the second photographer as that is a unnecessary expense.

Also what about finding an all inclusive venue if you had not already locked in your venue ?

We picked this photographer because we really like his work a lot. He’s also traveling 8 hours for us and we wanted two photographers. All of the vendors we chose were first choice so we’re okay with paying it. Just turned out to be more than expected once we started booking things
