Our date is August 8 in Maryland. We made the decision this week to postpone the big wedding/reception until next year. There was just too much uncertainty and our parents and siblings were reluctant to attend. We decided to just get married on our original date (8/8) this year, with just parents, best friends and siblings. My fiancé’s family is all out in Washington State and won’t be able to attend, so we are going to zoom the ceremony. We are going to make the best out of our day and just celebrate our love! Good luck to everyone!

We're moving forward with our August 2nd wedding. We actually just sent out the invitations last weekend. We decided that if restrictions are still in place, we will still be moving forward with bare minimum attendees.

We rescheduled from April 17th to July 17th. We are having just our ceremony that day with wedding party and immediate family only. Our ceremony is being live streamed by our videographer. Following our ceremony are photos. Then at our house food, our wedding cake (just top tier) and cupcakes. We will dance our first dance out on the deck. We've rescheduled our wedding reception to next April at our original venue.

I love your jar idea! We postponed our April 11th wedding and now hoping for late July. I asked my wedding coordinator for advice on things to be aware of for a summer wedding. She only had Covid19 recommendations which I didn't ask for (although it is our reality), I don't want a Covid oriented wedding. And it is just so hard entertaining the idea of pushing our wedding back any further.

We rescheduled for next year for June. This was supposed to be the wedding we planned 10 years ago, but we had to cancel the wedding then because of my health and medical expenses. However, we got married anyway in June, back then, with a small ceremony with just our family and a few friends. To celebrate me still being alive we decided we would have a full wedding like we were planning the first time. So I’m still alive and God willing I will be next year come June and we can finally have this wedding I been planning for 10 years. Good luck to everyone who‘s still moving forward. We just couldn’t because it’s a out of town wedding for us (in my hometown) with a lot of out of town guest so it just made since for us to postpone. And we delayed ours because I’ve always wanted a June wedding so I was willing to wait and now it will actually be on our anniversary.

Totally understand!! Pushed June wedding to August. Our venue said if we are still in this same phase, no bar and no food allowed to be served. Thinking about having just ceremony and pictures on beach after.

Recommended but not required. Everywhere in my state says "recommended not required".

We are August 21 and waiting it out, however it’s overseas so depends on if we can leave the country and enter another without self isolation entering the country for the wedding! Good luck to you, hope all works out!

My wedding ceremony was originally scheduled for June 27th but is now rescheduled for September 5th, 2020 if my venue will be up and running. We're waiting to confirm the current location or allow us to use another area. It can be quite annoying not knowing what else to do next...

    Hi!

I'm also having an August wedding in Maryland. Unfortunately, my venue will not let me cancel/postpone until a month out, at least that is what they keep telling me. It is becoming super frustrating, because I do not feel comfortable having a 200+ wedding, which they keep telling me will be able to happen. The county I live in is still at a stay at home order, despite the state being allowed to reopen to phase I.

I'm curious as to how your venue handled it. Were the okay with letting you postpone? Before officially deciding did they give you any information about when you would be able to postpone?

I agree because I have literally waited 15 years for this wedding. I am just hoping for the best and am going to try to have as normal a day as what we possibly can. I just don’t want everyone to be talking about it so I’m seriously going to put the jar up so nobody talks about it just for a day is all I asked of everyone.

September 5th here and holding strong! Our venue actually went out of business because of the pandemic so we have had a bit of a scramble this past week booking our ceremony space in the same hotel as our reception. To make that change we will have to decrease our guest count from 110 to 40 so we have some awkward phone calls to make in the next few weeks -- we sent out save the dates in February to all 110. Luckily we have the best family and friends and so far people have been super understanding!

Our wedding date is June 19, 2020, and was suppose to be a a destination wedding. We have moved the wedding back home and are planning it for the same date.

We are September 4th and holding out. Haven’t changed anything yet. I am trying to be optimistic despite everything being insane right now, I think it changes daily so you just don’t know. I am finding comfort because our guest list is 150 people and venue holds 300, so even if they had to operate at half capacity we are fine May just have to cut a few to account for staff at the venue. No one is overseas and only ~10 people from out of state. Most people are local 30-90 min away from the venue. We basically had everything planned before the shut down because I’m super type A and planned way in advance. My FH and groomsmen still have to get fitted for their tux’s but the place we are going reopens June 4 for private appointments so we should be fine. Trying to be positive!

Same here! We were ready to go for June in March. Just had to send out invites and redo seating based on RSVP. Now with all this free time I find myself wanting to change colors of flowers, candles, tablecloths, add this and take away that. My wedding planner probably hates me but she ain’t doing nothing right now... Soooo sorry not sorry
