My mom walked me down the aisle and we skipped all parent dances.

Both mine and FH fathers are out of the picture so neither of our paternal families will be at the wedding. Which was an easy decision for limiting the guest list. FH and I are walking down the aisle together. And we're going to do dances for the mothers

My dad passed away 13 years ago so my mom will be walking me down the aisle and I'm having a mother-daughter dance. My sister had our mom do these things for her wedding years ago. It was truly beautiful

I am technically not "fatherless" as well so I understand your struggles. It took me a long time to decide but I will be walking down the aisle by myself. I don't do well with the spotlight on me so if my FH can see that I am struggling, he will meet me halfway and walk me the rest of the way.

As for the traditional dancing, we are just skipping it. No need to put the spotlight on it anymore than it needs to me. FH will still do a dance with his mom just not as like an announced moment where everyone is sitting and staring at them.
