What color heels go best with emerald green velvet dresses and dusty rose velvet dresses? Do all bridesmaids wear the same heel or not?

Your bridesmaids don't need to wear matching shoes. Since they'll be on their feet all day, I would really recommend you let them choose whatever is comfortable. If the dresses are long, no one will see them anyway. If you want some cohesion, maybe you can request they wear a nude shoe of their choosing. Nude colored shoes go with everything.

I just asked my girls to wear any silver shoe. Not everyone is comfortable in the same shoes so I didn't want to make them wear the same shoe or even heels that could potentially make them uncomfortable. I think silver would look pretty with the two colors you've listed.

Gotcha!!! Thanks! I was thinking that as well letting them choose their own shoes however I may just give them a few do choose from. The dresses are long so probably won’t see them anyway

Thanks a bunch! I was thinking silver but was unsure! Do you think metallic silver or regular silver? I never knew deciding on shoes would be so hard lol

I was thinking silver or rose gold would look stunning, but nude would work as well!

My bridesmaid dresses are short so I really wanted the shoes to be cohesive, but I'm paying for them and they can change into something else directly after the ceremony photos as they likely won't be in any shots of the reception - they'll be under the table.

I think any silver is fine. I didn't specify between regular or metallic and my girls wore long dresses so I couldn't even tell you want their shoes looked like.

I was thinking nude as well I saw a few wedding blogs suggesting nude as well. I agree with short dresses everyone should have the same shoe it’s a better look! I have long dresses but there is a slight split too!

To piggy back off this: my girls wore knee-length dresses and I couldn't even tell you what their shoes looked like. I honestly never looked at their feet and the majority of photos don't have their feet in them lol.

I think even with a split it would be fine if they're reasonably similar. I had a split in the bridesmaid dress I had for a friend's wedding and you honestly couldn't see much except in the photos where the photographer asked us to do the angelina jolie leg thing, haha!

😂😂😂 thanks suga I think I will just have them choose something that are comfortable in especially since they are paying for their own shoes!

Unless the dresses are short, no one will see the shoes so you don’t even have to pick one color. Say “anything you love that is black, silver, etc” and give them options. Just be aware that for you and them that dresses are hemmed for heels so if you/they take them off, the dresses will drag and you will trip.

I would think that silver would look really pretty with either of those, especially the green. I’m not making my bridesmaids wear matching shoes; they’re wearing the same dress, so I thought their shoes can at least give each one a little identity

Thanks for the advice Kristen 😊 I honestly didn’t think about it in that way. All of bridesmaids are wearing the same type of dress but my MOH and Matron are wearing a different color and style. I will let them decide on what style of shoe to wear as long as it is silver. I think most them express wanting a block heel anyway.

I think I will allow them to wear any style of their choosing but the shoe definitely has to be silver. I will encourage them to wear something they are comfortable in because the ceremony may be about 30 to 45 mins.

I asked my girls to wear any silver shoe they wanted. It worked out well and I didn't get any complaints!

My ladies wore short dresses and I just asked them to pick any nude shoe they liked and were comfortable in (I mean, obviously dress shoes, but other than that). They all wore different shoes, no one noticed or cared.

You have to make those choices, but if you require a specific shoe, then you ought to purchase it, since they may never wear it again/it may hurt their feet.

As far as color - I would go with nude or silver, like everyone else - I would avoid a dark shoe with emerald and dusty rose, but that's just my opinion.

Thanks Becky for the advice! After all the feedback I will just let them decide on the style of shoe as long as oh is silver! I was thinking silver but I wasn’t sure! So thank you 😊
