So I'm not sure if I should be upset about this or not. There's nothing I can really do about it, so maybe I just need to vent lol I found out last week that my sister-in-law and bridesmaid got a boob job. I found out last week that my sister-in-law and bridesmaid got a boob job. Now, I'm not trying to judge, I'd love to get one myself one day, but 1. she already had full C's (the largest breasts in our family) and has chosen to get full D's and 2. this means she will only have about 2 weeks to get her dress altered (I found out that she had bought it a couple sizes larger on purpose knowing she was planning the surgery when my brother (her husband) told me last week.

I guess my question is: should I be upset about this? When I chose the dresses for my BMs I purposely told them they'd probably need to get the straps altered so they weren't too revealing (I'm pretty conservative). Do I need to remind her of this now?

Maybe I'm totally off base and overreacting here...

I wouldn't be concerned with how this effects (or doesn't effect) my wedding. I'd be more concerned with whether or not she'll be feeling okay!

My FSIL got a boob job earlier in the year and it took her weeks to recover and she was in constant pain. I'd be more concerned with her health after and whether or not she'd feel up to everything.

Emmy - me too. Supportive cat was the closest thing that I already had filed. I just couldn't bring myself to google 'cat boob job' on my work computer.

@OKD yep, I didn't want to be googling that either - I tried 'cosmetic surgery cat' and got the first pic I used. Then a bunch of crazies who had cosmetic surgery to look more like a cat...

    @O&S so much!

    I'm sorry but seriously?

I got my boobs done and went from barely an A to a D. Recovery took a week and I still went about my day to day schedule. I worked the entire week. I just wasn't allowed to lift anything heavy. Depends on the person I guess.

She got a bigger size on purpose. I'm assuming she will get it altered already. I don't think you need to remind her about the straps.

Maybe she wanted to look nice in her dress for your wedding? Who cares? What does this have to do with you?

Totally over reacting. Everyone is going to be looking at you on your wedding day, not her boobs.

To quote Randi too, "Her boobs, her body, her business."

The only reason to be upset would be if she said, "hey, since i just got these bad boys do you mind if instead of wearing the dress that you wanted me to wear for the wedding can I walk down the aisle in a bikini top?!" That actually effects you and your day, this doesn't.

@sue lol. That would be an acceptable reason to be upset.

Honestly, the difference between the sizes is not that noticeable. I've been both sizes in my lifetime and the visual difference is hard to notice. You won't be able to tell the difference and the dress will still accommodate the new size. It's a little close to the wedding for her to do it, but it won't have any impact on you. If anything, she's still be feeling a little discomfort on your day. But that's not your problem Smiley smile

Put it past you and worry about other things.

My MOH is going to drastically alter her body two months before my wedding, shes having a baby! I think your people are overreacting. It sounds like she had the foresight to order a larger dress and have it altered. I would understand being upset if she had ordered a dress that fit, pre boobs and now is struggling to fit into or find a replacement dress. People are people and you can't expect them to cancel or reschedule their lives for your wedding.

ETA: If she wants to have her tata's out in front of the whole family, that is going to reflect on her, not you.

I get it, but she bought her dress larger already because she was planning it. Hopefully it will be fine and her boobs will look majestic!

And honestly I fluctuate between a C and a D CONSTANTLY. They'll just be a little higher and tighter. Like a military haircut.

Ok she got her boobs done. And planned for the adjustment when ordering her dress. I'm not sure why this is an issue for you. Get over it, it doesn't change anything.

Guys OP clearly said she wasn't upset at the fact her sister got a boob job. No need to be so freaking rude. She is just looking for advice. There is no reason to be assholes about it.
