Hi guys! My wedding is in 52 days and it has been a struggle. Not with my future husband but with my sister! She is my only sister and she seems completely not interested in helping me do anything for the wedding! My fiance and I have done all the planning and whenever I ask her or talk to her about the wedding plans, her responses are vague, cold, disingenuous and immediately changes the subject. She is one of my bridesmaids but I don't want her to be the maid of honor because of the way she's handled this 1 year long journey. I have talked to my family and my fiance about the whole situation and the majority says she's jealous. I don't know what to do or how to handle this. I've brought it up to her about her lack of interest but then get the immediate defense from her. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It’s your day and you just worry about keeping you happy and marrying your best friend your husband. Your sister may just be a little jealous but she was also may be sad she’s loosing her sis. Your husband comes first now and maybe she has a hard time dealing with that part. I’ll keep you in 🙏🏿for strength and peace my love ❤️👰🏾congratulations on your upcoming big day 😊

Ahhh I know the sister struggle so well. I would try approaching it in a non judgemental/resolution oriented way. Maybe start a dialogue by asking if she's okay or if something is wrong. Or just ask her if you did something that's bothering her.

She might be more willing to fix her attitude if she sees you're willing to resolve the issue.

I’d point blank say I’m feeling upset as you don’t seem happy and invested, nor do I feel your helping me as a maid of honor does. With this being said, if you feel this way, please don’t be offended but I may ask my bff to be my maid of honor. It’s really your choice, I love you but your actions are not what I expected. Done!
