Bridesmaid Dress Color

Caila, on May 1, 2019 at 8:14 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
So I’m having a dilemma with bridesmaid dress colors and my fiancé says he doesn’t care (what good are guys!?) lol. But I know I want grey. I just cannot decide if a lighter grey or darker. The groomsmen are wearing navy! Opinions please! I’ve attached the 2 I’m deciding between! Thank you.

Either would go really well with navy, but for an August wedding, I might lean towards the lighter shade.

If you’re torn between the two I would consider your BMs complexions, darker gray will look better on pale skin tones / blond hair & light gray on darker hair / skin tones. I would also ask your BMs what they prefer, as they will be the ones wearing the dress.

If the groomsmen are wearing navy, I personally would choose the lighter gray, but either will work.

I think the lighter will look really good with navy.

I like the lighter gray paired with navy. Have you considered a mix of the two shades? Like having your MOH in one shade, and BMs in the other shade? Could be really pretty.

Yes, or doing half and half and then staggering them? Could be very pretty

Have you seen the dresses in these colors in person? I had both of these fabric swatches and the mystic is very light gray. Lighter than what is pictured. Mystic is a very pretty gray but I would suggest you see the dress colors in person. BTW, Mercury is a nice gray too!

I've seen the mercury in person and its MUCH lighter than this photo, I think it's still very light and you'd be fine to pair it with navy.
Side note- mystic would wash out my fair skinned bridesmaids.

As someone who’s had to wear a David’s bridesmaid dress in Mystic, please choose the darker gray! Unless your ladies have darker complexions, this color is very light and washes everyone out.

Hey Caila! Have you decided on which BM dress color you woudl prefer for your wedding? Both would look great with navy suits!

Do you know what style dress your girls will wear? Will they have the same style, or different?
