Bridesmaid Dress Color

Michelle, on May 31, 2021 at 5:14 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23
I am planning on going with Azazie “Dusty Sage” for my bridesmaid dress color. I may be overthinking this, but is it too much green with my wedding venue (see below photo)?

I think the sage is beautiful but may blend in with the venue backdrop a bit. I think a light pink would stand out well against the lush, light green of the venue...maybe incorporate the “dusty sage” into the bridesmaids’ attire by having heavy sage-colored greenery in their bouquets?

Your venue is very green it is very possible that the girls would blend in a bit.

It is. They're gonna fade into the background. Unless that's your goal because you really wanna stand out, I'd choose a different color completely. Do you not have any accent colors?

I think I have to agree with the others. Beautiful colour, beautiful venue, but you might not even know your bridesmaids are there if they're standing very still, LOL!

What about one of these instead?

I'm actually wearing that exact color from Azazie for a friend's wedding coming up. The dress in person looks a little lighter than it does online and I personally think that light shade of green would pop nicely against the darker green of your venue. Depends on how much you like green though. I agree with everyone else that another color would stand out better, but I still think dusty sage would look nice too.

I’m not much of a pink person especially for clothing, so I don’t think I want to go that route. For bouquets, I plan to keep it mainly greens and whites.

Yeah I got the fabric swatch and the picture online seems to come off a bit brighter than the swatch. I want to keep the wedding very neutral themed and am sticking with greens, whites, and grays. Azazie had a bunch of real life pictures on their IG and it definitely looked very different depending on the lighting.

I’m sticking with very neutral tones, mainly white, gray, and various shades of green. This is the asthmatic I’m going for Bridesmaid Dress Color 7

Hmm. What are your colours, and would any of them work for your bridesmaids? I think the sage is beautiful and it might actually look quite striking matching so well with the venue, but it's so hard to say without actually seeing it, you know?

Edit - I just saw what you said your colours are. What about one of the grey azazie dresses then? That might be JUST different enough to not blend as much. Or a cream/ivory?

The groomsmen will be in gray so I don’t love that idea. This dress looks so different depending on the lighting/photo.Bridesmaid Dress Color 8

I mean, those backgrounds are pretty green and the dresses don't blend in too much. If you like the way that looks, then maybe go ahead with the sage? I assume some of the time you will be inside or against other backdrops. Maybe ask your photographer if they have experience shooting against a less contrasting background like that and see what they think.

Yeah the ceremony with be under that tree but the venue also has a big white barn that a lot of pictures will be taken with that in the background. That a great idea to ask our photographer! Thank you!

If you're going with greens, whites, and grays, I say go for it! I love the aesthetic of the other photos you've shared in this thread, and I think going with the dusty sage dresses will help you achieve that look.

My bridesmaids are wearing dusty sage from Azzazie as well, my MOH will be in Dusty Rose.

We're also getting married in front of alot of green scenery (pic below for reference) since the Dusty Sage is a lighter green I'm not worried about them blending in in pictures, I think it will be a nice contrast!

What about a taupe or tan color? My cousin did that last year at a very similar venue and it looked stunning. The girls didn't blend it, but they also didn't look flashy at all. Bouquets were greenery and white flowers. May be another way to go!

    Hello!

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this past year and we wore Azazie Dusty Sage. Our photos were taken against a primarily green background and it looked great. If you like it, go for it!
