Bridesmaid Dress Shopping Snacks

Kelsey, on February 10, 2020 at 7:24 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7
Hi all!!

We’re going bridesmaid dress shopping this weekend and all of my bridesmaids and my mom are able to come! Yay! I wanted to bring wine and snacks to make it fun. But I can’t think of what kind of snacks to bring! Plus I have gluten free, dairy free, soy free, and egg free restrictions 😬 any ideas?!

Maybe just fruit and cheese. Are you allowed to bring in outside food and alcohol? Some venues may provide but do not allow outside.

I don’t think stores would allow you to bring in food and drinks. What about going out to lunch before or after?

I doubt stored are going to let you bring in snacks and wine.

I agree about going out to eat before or after, depending on the time of your appointment(s). Daughter didn't really want to eat much before trying on dresses, so on the day she had two appointments, we went to the first (around noon, I believe), after that we stopped for an iced tea or something, and then on to the second appointment. By the time that was over, we went and had a nice dinner and wine to talk about what she thought of her options at that point. I'd be surprised if a salon allows you to bring in food and beverages -- most are not going to want to risk anything getting on the dresses. (A couple salons offered us bottled water, but other than that we didn't eat or drink at any of the four salons we visited before daughter found her dress.) Have fun! Dress shopping is the BEST! Smiley heart

Just do brunch before & drinks after. That’s what we did. That takes care of all those dietary restrictions and the fact that most stores won’t allow food or drinks inside.

I would look at local restaurants and just go there before or after. I can't imagine dress salons want people bringing in food and alcohol.

I swear you read my mind!!! EXACT first thought!!

Go out before for brunch (light on food and booze) and then hit up the stores, afterwards meet up somewhere for happy hour. Let's just be realistic for a second, drunk US never make decent choices in clothing...so I think to keep chaos' to a minimum and make good, solid choices in dresses, I would limit booze on the front end of the day. You for sure could bring snacks in the car's to have between appointments! You are allowed to bring in water and I highly suggest that! Good luck and have fun!!
