Soo backstory,

4+ years ago I had sort of a failed wedding/marriage because I found out my ex husband was cheating on me the entire time. The entire marriage lasted 6 weeks. No great, I know.
Fast forward to now, I found a genuinely great partner and we just recently got engaged!
So here’s my question:In the first wedding, my bridesmaids wore ivory and I absolutely LOVED it. Now I am started wedding planning again, I realize that I still really love it more than any other color. Would it be weird to have the same color?
I realize the answer is probably yes, but I just can’t find anything I like as much. I want to stay neutral in bridesmaid dress colors so it is a little more limited.

I don't think it's weird at all! It's a totally different wedding, where the bridesmaids just happen to be wearing the same color as your first wedding. There are no rules saying you can't use the same color. If it's the color you want, I say go for it!

I don’t think this is weird at all! I think you are probably reading way too much into it- it’s just a color of a dress. I say go for it and don’t give it another thought 🙂

I don't think it's weird. You can make your wedding distinct in other ways -- different styles of dress, different flowers, different season, etc.

Your story is the same as my FHs. Congrats on finding a great partner and on your engagement. And as for the color of dresses…do whatever your heart desires!! It really doesn’t matter as much as you’re putting into it. If it’s the color you like then go for it! No reason to change what you like just because of the past. Go for it and don’t look back!!

I know someone who canceled her first wedding before it happened, but kept her dress and wore it to her wedding this year (to a different man). It was the dress she liked and that made her happy.
It's not weird at all. This wedding is different by the very fact that it isn't the same marriage.
