Bridesmaid dresses

Sharyl, on September 5, 2019 at 7:35 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
My wedding isn’t until next October and I wanted to check out bridesmaid dresses early because in early December I’ll be having foot surgery that will require me to be off my foot for 3 months (2 months on cast, 1 month on boot). Is it silly of me of wanting to check out bridesmaid dresses in the next month or two? Or is it better to wait to sometime next spring? I just want to be ahead of everything

You'd be perfectly fine waiting until spring. The bridesmaids dresses dont generally take terribly long to come in.

I agree, you'll be okay if you start looking in spring for your BMs. I hope your foot surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery!

The only concern I'd have looking this early is that the one(s) you pick could be discontinued or something by the time it's time to order them. Idk where you plan on looking, but I went to David's bridal. I wasn't expecting all my girls to order their dresses the day I picked one, but one got their dress two weeks after ordering, another 2.5 weeks after ordering. I'm sure the others will come within the next week or two, so don't worry about not having time. You can certainly start looking at ideas!

I picked my bridesmaids dresses out 14 months early! I wanted to give them plenty of heads up and opportunity to take advantage of sales. I picked a color, fabric and length from Azazie and the girls picked out their own dress.

So i’m also getting married in october 2020, and i’ve already picked my bridesmaids dresses! mostly because that helped finalize my color. i tried to go to david’s bridal for my girls dresses, but they just didn’t have the color scheme i wanted. but i needed somewhere that wasn’t just local since my bridesmaids are all over the place. I went to bella bridesmaids and was so happy with what i ended up picking. they’re definitely more pricey than david’s bridal, and take longer to get in as well. my bridesmaids have a deadline to order, which is the end of february. the dresses won’t be in until late june/early august. which gives them plenty of time for alterations.
