Bridesmaid dresses

Erin, on December 21, 2019 at 10:13 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
My wedding is in Augusta if 2020, and I still haven’t picked our bridesmaid dresses. I want the girls to spend no more than $100-$150 on their dresses because I know money is tight for some of my girls. My MOH assures next that there is still plenty of time, but I don’t even know where to begin. I have seen several websites that have great dresses and deals, but the option to try on isn’t there or it costs extra. Ideally, I would like my girls to all wear blush pink, but they can pick their own floor-length style. I of course would like to see and agree on their choice though. Any tips or suggestions to get this ball rolling?

Azazie. They have many dresses in your price range and your color choice. It is an online store, but the girls can try the dresses on for only $10. Our bridesmaids bought their dresses from Azazie and we could not have been happier.

I’ve looked into that one, but the extra cost made me unsure of its value. On average how many dresses did each girl try on? My girls wouldn’t be able to share styles or trying on because they live all over and they have different body types.

Two girls tried on 3 dresses, one tried on 2, the other tried on only 1. I let them pick their own dresses, so the amount of dresses they tried on was completely up to them. But the $10 is totally worth it. And most girls know what styles look best of them.

I’m getting married in August too. December 1st we went to a bridal salon and found a style we all liked but the dress was $300. So we looked around for comparable and ended up finding a similar dress from lulus.com. After a $20 off coupon it ended up being like $70. I would start off at a bridal salon just to see what you like or what styles everyone likes and then you can find something cheaper once you know what you want.

David’s bridal is good. I picked a color and my girls picked their own styles. They spent between $120-$160 I believe.

That’s a really good idea! I didn’t think to go to a salon just to try stuff on. My SIL has us get dresses from David’s Bridal a year in advance, and by the time the wedding cake, I had gained a few (new relationship) pounds. I ended up having to buy another dress, and spent over $300 Smiley sad I don’t want that to happen to my girls!

Where we got my bridesmaid dresses we had to order about 6-7 months ahead. I would just really check around because we weren’t expecting to get them that far in advance and you end up paying more to have them in sooner.

I decided on davids bridal, currently they have 10% off their dresses and all of them came out to 130$ I believe. They were able to try them on and they have locations all over the county. I was able to have a bridesmaid in California and one in Florida go to their local store and try on different styles and picked the one they liked!

Amazon. Lots of sizes, very affordable and returns are easy. I found my floor length one shoulder emerald green dresses there for $50!
