However much you have in your budget to spend. If you are looking for a number, I spent around $50 for my bridesmaids.

I wouldn't go about it thinking you need to spend a certain amount, it should be what is something I can gift them that shows how much they mean to me and our friendship. And then go from there with budget.

There is no set amount that is “right” or “wrong”. This is completely dependent on your budget and what you are comfortable spending. Some people simply write a thank you card to their BMs, other people spend several hundreds of dollars on their gifts.

I agree that it's completely up to you and your budget. I was a BM for my bestie and our gifts were hangers for our dresses, the flannels we got ready in, and a handwritten and hand-drawn card. It was perfect and totally her. I was planning on getting my BMs their getting ready outfits and a favorite snack of theirs for the day of, and giving them personalized Turkish towels (we're having a destination wedding in California) at my bach party/some time before we leave. I'm looking at about $50ish per BM because that's what was in the budget!

We're not doing them this time, but for my 1st wedding I gave my 8 bridesmaids a Coach wristlet, which was only about $40 each at the outlet.

I agree with the PPs. It all depends on your personal budget and what you want to gift them. As long as it comes from you and is heartfelt that’s all that really matters. Some brides do handwritten cards/letter to each BM/MOH and some brides can break the bank with their gifts. We’re working on the detail of our budget so I don’t know what we will be doing for them yet.

There's no right or wrong. Someone who makes $40,000/year might spend less than someone who makes $100,000/year. Not to mention the cost of living in your area and what's normal in your social circles. Also depends on your budget. Anything from a card to diamond earrings could be appropriate.

The most common gift I have received for being a bridesmaid is the jewelry I was to wear in the wedding. I have also received a nice wristlet as a gift that I used for years afterwards.

There's no right or wrong but you definitely do want to make them feel appreciated...my husband and I were both in a wedding recently...the bachelor and bachelorette parties were each a plane ride away and for 4+ days, we spent a ton on accommodations for those and the wedding itself, engagement parties, shower, etc. Thousands. We were happy to do it, we love this couple, but it was interesting that the bride chose $10 Dunkin gift cards as the bridesmaid gifts. Some of these wedding events were events that the bride planned herself, without asking for budget, and then basically billed the WP. We had the $ to do it so didn't make a big deal of it and maybe we should have but yeah, didn't feel especially appreciated, either.
