Clara, on March 30, 2016 at 10:25 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 27

HI ladies,

I want to create a cute personalized box for each of my bridesmaids and hopefully give to them at my engagement party..anyone have any photos to share if they made one? I was going to do a mini bottle of champagne, some bath stuff and maybe a monogram mug, etc.. would love to see photos of what you came up with ...... Thank you in advance Smiley smile

The bottom is a picture of one my friend created..

P.S NOT a crafty person, but open to the challenge if you have any frugal ideas !

Look through etsy! They have gift boxes, cards, & "will you be my bridesmaid" written on just about everything!

I don't like bridesmaids proposals either.

Seriously, what if they want to say no but you've presented them with this box of bridesmaid crap. DO what has worked for ever and just ask them. The may feel obligated to say yes, and then you will end up with big issues down the road.

I picked mine because I knew they'd say yes. I did a gold bubble mailer and put nail polish in my main color, lotion, lip balm that says "keep calm and love", a ring pop, and a card from etsy.

I made all my bridesmaids stuff. I made my own cards, I bought blank cards from Michaels in the dollar section. I made my own charm bracelets for everyone. And then I made hair ties. All really cheap and easy to make! I also only gave a bottle of wine to two of my bridesmaids, since the others don't drink.

Also here's a better picture of the bracelets. Each bracelet had the bridesmaids initial, something that reminded me of them. Then my sisters got a sister charm, and my best friends got a key and I have the locket for it. Personally I think it's nice to get someone a little something when asking them to be in the wedding. They'll be spending a lot of money for the wedding, and your shower. So it's the least you can do.

Love your box! Check out Etsy for ideas. I'm doing mini wine bottles, lotions, bridesmaid shirt and still lookin for one more stuffing. Maybe lipgloss, nail polish, or some chili plate. Love your idea of a picture too.

I am doing a bridesmaid "proposal" but only because I already know my friends are available. Otherwise, I'd try to bring it up in conversation and really "ask" before giving them a gift. This is just for fun, and assuming you know the girls can participate.

My take on bridesmaid proposals: I love them, and I did them. But I did them in a one-on-one setting. I don't think it's the best idea to put them on the spot in front of a group.

That thought aside, everything is super cute!

These were my bridesmaid boxes! I added a bottle of champagne that I glittered gold, a Naked 2 eyeshadow pallet, a compact mirror from Michaels, a Mac lip gloss, their crystal earings for the day of and moisturizing socks for the night before. They were super fun to make and even more fun to gift.

I also did a bridesmaid proposal box for my girls and they all really loved it. My bridesmaid box included a note from me, flowers, nail polish, an Alex and Ani bracelet, a tumbler, compact mirror and a Starbucks gift card. Here is a picture of mine

Great point, I have already asked most of the girls, maybe I can make the boxes and hand them out individually..just a toast at the engagement party .

While the ideas are cute, I'm not fan of proposals. Think about your budgets and the fact you will already be buying them BM's gifts.

I don't have a pic of the ones I made but I did a candle called pop the bubbly, rock candy in my colors, little plastic diamonds, a planner with the wedding date in it, and a framed picture of us

I did this for each of the girls. Wrote a personalized note, photos of us, Alex and ani friend bracelet, small bottle of wine and some Lindor truffles. The girls loved them!

I mailed a box to each of my girls that had a pocket calendar (my wedding was like 18 months away at the time), personalized luggage tag(everyone has to travel to the wedding), lip balm, and hair ties to match the wedding colors. I used some old Birchboxes I had. They seemed to like them!

I went on www.weddingchicks.com and printed out cards wrote a personal note inside and gave then a small bottle of wine I had to ask 10 females so making a box with all these things was not apart of my budget. They will enjoy whatever you give even if its a small personal note

This is what I did for my bridesmaids! I asked them when they came dress shopping with me! And most of my stuff came from Walmart like my boxes I got during Valentine's Day, the tumblers are from etsy! But it probably cost me $100 all together if not less for 7 girls!! I love doing DIY stuff
