Bridesmaid Proposals?

I was wondering how you all proposed to your bridesmaids and if it's too much to go overboard with gift boxes from places like Etsy. I'm a student so I'm on a budget, any ideas will be appreciated! Thanks!

Bridesmaid proposal gifts are not necessary. you could totally just give your girls a call! this is what i did. i planned to do a little gift and a card, but it was so much easier and personal just to call them.

if you want the physical gift, a thoughtful handwritten card would mean the world. i would so much rather prefer that than a box of stuff anyway. it makes it easier to actually think it over and be able to say no, if they have to say no.

I wrote each of my bridesmaids a note about how much I appreciate their friendship and put it with a bottle of prosecco and a small bouquet of flowers ($4 mini roses). I was going to make a pinterest inspired gift bag, but all the little things add up, and I wanted it to be more personal.

I just made mine little books with pictures of us growing up and a heartfelt note about our friendship that ended in the question. It was cheap and they all cried.

I just called mine. You send a card and ask that way they would have to think about without pressure before they reapond.

I bought wine glasses and decorated each one to look like a dress.( In my colors.). made posters to look like mug shot boards through staples online, bought bottles of wine and made labels for each bottle with a message. These labels can be purchased through etsy.
    They loved it!!

If you want to do a little box for them, that's perfectly fine (although in my opinion they're a bit over the top), but if you're on a budget you don't have to! I sent my girls a small card with a heartfelt note inside to ask them. I even put confetti in one of them because the girl it was for used to send me cards with confetti when I was in college haha!

Im on a budget as well so I understand where you are coming from. I asked my girls first to see if they would like to be my bridesmaids before I did anything. Once I got the answers I planned a lunch with my fiancé and his groomsmen he chose, and my bridesmaids. There I gave them my“proposals.” Like I said I’m on a budget, so I did not go crazy on the gifts. I bought the super cheesy kind of gifts like ring pop lip glosses for example, and the girls all loved them. Honestly dollar tree was my best friend for these boxes. I bought things for a good price and put them together. The only thing I spent a little on (nothing extreme) were some cute bracelets. The way I see it is, these aren’t mandatory and they’ll love anything you give them whether it be a box of gifts or a heartfelt letter.

Look up Silver Dollar Candle Co. (both on Etsy and has on website/online store). They make amazing quality, personalized candles that say "(Name", Will you be my bridesmaid?") I think I paid less than $10 each for the personalized candle and just bought each of the girls a bath bomb from Lush for a spa theme. Total, I think I spent ~$20 each for 5 girls, so $100 total!
