Bridesmaid Robes ?!?

Candyce , on September 8, 2017 at 11:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 41

Hello all! I am less than a month away from our special day! But, I forgot to order robes for my bridesmaids and mom! I would need 7 robes total, but, my budget is quickly depleting with all last minute stuff. I know I can buy robes in a store for $25-$50. Anyone know of any deals elsewhere? Can't hurt to ask!

I'm probably among the few that feels all the extra stuff such as personalized robes for everyone is unnecessary and cliche. I didn't do this. That's just me though. Etsy may have robes cheaper than the $25 mark.

I agree with FutureMrs. I think robes are overdone and cliche. I also am not a fan of the robe getting ready pics. If your budget is maxed out, I would just skip this detail. Or try Etsy if you really want robes.

I wouldn't stress about having robes for your bridesmaids - It isnt a necessity and they can always bring a robe they have from home. Or if you want a semi matching look request they wear a button up shirt they already own.

If you are looking for cheap robes though check target or walmart

I got ours off Etsy for like $18. They were floral but were a little nicer cotton material. I think I typed in the search "floral cotton robes". Target also has simple but nice cotton ones for $25 - in navy, light blue, gray, and pink! I bought a navy one for everyday for myself and it's really comfortable. Those could prob be used again!

Thank you all so much! We are getting ready for the wedding in the penthouse suite of the hotel, and will be sleeping there the night before, so no outside travel required. And our videographer will be there capturing scenes to use for our wedding video. I just thought robes would be a nice touch. I appreciate all the advice!

And my bridesmaids are my 2 sisters and my 2 best friends that I was roommates with. We would all feel comfortable with it around each other.

I ordered off etsy too for $19 each. amazon also has some.

I was going to skip them, but a few girls asked what we were getting ready in/if I was getting robes and they seemed to want them...but we also didn't have to travel in them.

I did want to do tunic/night shirts or shorts PJ sets, but they were all pricey for nice ones.

I wouldn't actually bother. The "eight girls in robes' photo is becoming this decade's answer to 'eight girls in curlers'....

    Let them wear whatever.

Robemart.com I bought robes from there, I think like $13 shipped fast and good quality. Then I just paid like $5 each to have them embroidered!

I got my girls robes. But not to wear for pictures but only because they were really nice and soft! And I thought I would like a nice robe like it. We are going to do monograms with their names on them they are not required to wear them that day.

I got them from target for $25 they are so soft and have cute sayings inside where the tag is like "enjoy today" or "everything is better with sleep"

Not going to lie - I would be extremely uncomfortable with your videographer being there if all I was wearing was a robe and undergarments . . . Have you checked with your girls about how they feel?
