Ok, so one of my bridesmaids just posted a picture on facebook that said "New Haircut". She has shaved off all her hair. It's not a pixie cut. Then she posts in my bridesmaid FB group that she did it. So, I just said...As long as it grows back into something cute and manageable by the fall, you can do whatever you want...

I also joked on her picture saying, "Seems like someone wants to wear their bridesmaid dress in the audience." lol

IMO, It's not cute on her at all

I know it's a little shallow. I also know you don't pick your bridesmaids based on what they look like. You pick them based on what they mean to you. However, it's just something that's a little annoying to think about months before my wedding.

I hope she lets it grow back and it grows back quickly at least to the point where she can get some weave or extensions cause this experiment is not cute at all

I can see why you'd be annoyed if you had a specific vision for your day and this altered it...

Personally, I wouldn't care. I'm one of those brides who are having her BMs choose their own dresses in the same color family, choose their own accessories and hairstyles, etc. because as much as this is "my" day, I love my friends and family for who they are and I want to celebrate them too. Everyone is different, so why force them to be the same?

She said she'd grow it back and hook it up by the wedding. She's a good friend of mine and I would never want to kick her out for that....but it did cross my mind in my small ranting state lol

I find this kind of funny. My friend sent me a picture of this super short hair cut that she wants to get, like today, and asked for my permission. She kept bugging me and bugging me about it, do I like it? So I had to be honest with her... I don't like it at all. But I told her she could do what she wants, it's her hair. She said she didn't want to ruin my wedding, and I said if that's going to ruin my wedding, I need a serious priority check.

But I wasn't going to lie to her and tell her I liked it.

Everyone is different on their opinions i guess. I have 8 BMs - one cut her hair off (like a half an inch long), one got a huge tattoo on her shoulder and one is pregnant and who knows if she'll fit in the dress. Seriously i couldnt make this stuff up if i tried! And, honestly, i love my friends for who they are and couldnt care less! And im having a very formal wedding. I dont think its rude or that it "will ruin my vision". My vision is to have the most important women in my life stand up next to me. Simple as that!

Yardiegirl have her wear a wig or get a weave on a wig cap. My bff has the same hair style but knows I expect hait. Its your wedding and the look you would like.

I want to shave my head sometimes ... I used to have a Mohawk but my husband isn't a fan of the idea. Oddly my bridesmaids are WAY more conservative than me so nothing would surprise me. One is pregnant but that's fun.

I understand your frustration though bc I was the Moh for my best friend and I dyed my blue hair back to brown out of respect for her. She didn't care but it was an important day for her and even though she never said anything I knew it mattered. I also took out my lipring for the festivities. It shows that she cares about you that she's going to do her hair to make you happy! Smiley smile

My sister shaved her head for St. Baldricks foundation (cancer organization) and my wedding is in June 18, 2015. She just shaved her hair. I don't think it's going to grow in time for the wedding. I let my bridesmaids pick their dress, shoes, and even hairstyle. All I asked was for was for it to be the same color and short. Oh and not to do anything extra over the top. But I guess I have no choice when it comes to my sisters they are all different personalities. We begged her to wait until after the wedding but she wanted to do it before so. Whatever, she does what makes her happy and I'm proud that she did it for a good cause. I'm going to be a normal bride not a bridezilla and I just learned to "Let it Go" when it comes to stressful wedding things or surprises from relatives. Lol ?
