Bridesmaid Shirts

Chrystal, on August 1, 2021 at 9:52 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

What are thoughts about bridesmaid shirts or robes for the morning of? Are they necessary or expected? I have already ordered bracelets, a makeup bag, candles, socks, and champagne glasses, all personalized and not cheap. I'll order them if I have to but I'm unsure if I should.

Definitely not necessary and most likely will never be worn again.

I agree with Hannah. They aren't necessary or expected, and most likely won't ever be worn again after the wedding. Many people like to get them for photo opportunities, which is totally fine, but if they're not in your budget and/or you have no interest in spending the money on them, definitely skip them.

Agreed with the previous posters. They’re only for photos, so if you don’t care about matching outfits for photos they’re not necessary.

Totally agree with everyone- it’s not necessary. It won’t be used again so why go through the expense?

Skip them. It’s a trend that is way overdone and it’s stuff that can’t be used again.

Skip them and put the money toward a thank you gift related to their personal interests and has nothing to do with the wedding itself. Shop like it’s their birthday.

Tshirts are a bad idea if you are getting hair/makeup done because they will have to be cut down the front in order to not mess up the hard work the stylists just did. Button ups are your best option (can be purchased inexpensively at Target or Old Navy) plus leggings or sweatpants of their choice.

Agree with Michelle. If you really want to get them something for day of, get some sort of zip up or button up. But I wouldn’t get anything with “bridesmaid” on it because then they will never wear it again. And I personally hate the robes because I feel half naked in them.

They're not necessary and plus you got other things for them as well. No need to go overboard with gifts. Instead of wedding related shirts, I'm getting my girls personalized shirts that will have artwork that resembles them with their name below.

I think if you want the photo op then it's nice to have but if not, then you can skip it

Unless you want them in for photos I would say skip it. I am going to be skipping this Smiley smile

You can def. skip them unless you want everyone wearing the same thing for photos. I got my ladies theirs from Target and they weren't expensive at all, but it's def. something you can skip if it isn't in your budget!

Personally I'd go with a pj set over a shirt or robe and not have it personalized.
