There is not. But keep in mind a few things: the more people, the harder it is to please everyone. You open yourself to a lot more drama and opinions the more people you include.

Have as many as you want, just remember that adds to your overall headcount if they bring a plus one

    I have 6! Should’ve only had 3-4 if I’m being honest 😂

I wouldn’t say drama but we were super close at the time of asking and since they’ve been asked, things have gotten complicated.

It’s not. But it’s also different for everyone! It could end up not being a big deal for y’all. I just know I wish I had kept it smaller.

I agree with the others and don’t think there is a minimum or maximum. I do think that considering your relationship with them and how far out you ask is super important seeing that some women ended up having drama once they already asked. My wedding isn’t for (roughly) another year and a half and I still plan on asking my girls and guy within the next few weeks. But they are my 2 best friends and 2 sisters. It’s all in knowing who’s gonna put up with your crap and knowing that you won’t take any of theirs.

I had 6! My mother in law tried saying to me that we should have 1 attendant on each side per 50 guests... we ended up inviting around 150 guests. I was not going to tell my closets friends “oh sorry you can’t be in my wedding because I can only have 1 attendant per 50 guests” like what? 😂 Have as many as you want. But one piece of advice I have is make sure whoever you pick you will be happy to see them in your photos for the rest of your life.

No but the more bridesmaids you have the more opinions. It will be harder for everyone to agree on something. I have 4 and they always split down the middle when it comes to decisions 🤦🏽‍♀️

My church only allows 5... still need to talk with the priest to see how set in stone this is.

I only have 3 (just family) but I invited my friends to come get dressed with me. They'll be in my getting ready photos and everything. They actually preferred this as they didn't have to buy a dress, etc.

No! You can have as many, or as few as you want. Choose those who are dear to you. Don’t listen to anyone saying you have too many. It’s your wedding!
