Bridesmaid/groomsman Walk

For ours, the officiant, groom, and groomsmen will enter from the side instead of down the aisle. The bridesmaids and flower girl will walk down unaccompanied.

Now, at the end of the ceremony, I think the officiant has it planned that the bridesmaids and groomsmen will pair up and walk together (not arm in arm though), but I'm not really feeling that -- even pre-COVID. (We have a meeting tomorrow to discuss!)

Pretty much everyone in our wedding party is married or dating and don't know each other, so it just seemed silly to me to pair them up. With us having such a small wedding now and taking precautions, it further solidified that choice for me.

In July, I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding and we walked arm and arm and I was comfortable. See what your bridal party is comfortable with.
During my wedding in September, there was only 3 bridesmaids... no groomsmen. I originally wanted them to come out together, but the aisle was not wide enough so they had no choice but to walk out by their selves. Here are some pictures so you can see.

At our wedding the groom & groomsmen entered single-file from the side, and the bridesmaids walked down the aisle individually!

They linked arms on the way back out, but you could just have them exit by walking next to each other or single-file again!
