Bridesmaid/MOH proposal

How did you ask your bridesmaids/MOH(s) to be in your wedding? Looking for a creative way to ask. I have a few Pinterest ideas, but want to know what has worked for others. Thanks!

I made these boxes that came with what is below and they all loved them and it was pretty cheap for me 4 boxes for about $50(the wine was the most expensive part lol):

-a wine glass with bridesmaid or maid of honor on them and saved money by buying the wine glasses on clearance at TJ max and got the stickers through etsy for like $2 each and put them on my self

-a couple hair ties that said bridesmaid or made of honor on them through etsy again I think they were $2.50 each

-a wine bottle with labels asking them from etsy $4 per label I believe

-a picture frame with a cute picture of us and I got 4 frames from clearance at TJ MAXX again for all under $10

I'm seeing a lot of people not doing anything but I am really happy with what I got them because it's something special they can have for sometime

Send a box with liquor and goodies which included a personalized note asking them.

Definitely wait, i understand that you want to ask in person but sending a thoughtful note in the mail or calling is just as effective.

I asked my MOH already (yes I know it's way early, but we've been friends for 20 years!) We went out for beers and I asked her. I'm not the cutesy BM box type, and neither is she. Honestly I would have felt ridiculous asking her with a cutesy "proposal". As far as the rest of the wedding party, FH and I are strongly considering only doing a MOH and BM. If we decide to ask others, I'm asking my cousins. By calling them!

I'm putting together some little boxes for each girl. We don't live in the same state and we've all been friends for years, as well as been in each others weddings. Of course waiting a while before asking!

I gave them each a card letting them know how much I appreciated their friendship and at the end it asked them to be a part of my day.

I also gave them a planner so they could put important dates in it!

I agree with the pp- bm "proposals" are so over done- everything doesn't need to be a big thing- this is right up there with prom proposals- bit ridiculous.
