Bridesmaids and getting ready??

Marina, on December 28, 2019 at 9:41 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 5

Hi everyone! I have a few questions.

I have a total of 10 bridesmaids and myself (bride). I think my ceremony will be around 1:00 or 2:00pm?

Should I even attempt to have everyone at the house getting ready? I was going to have them come over and we get our hair and makeup done there, but should I just have them get their hair and makeup done on their own and join me at the house after?

Also, if we all decide to get our hair and makeup done at the house, what timeline should I start?

Thanks!

It's up to you and the space you have!

I have 10 bridesmaids and I want us to all get ready together so we can take pictures and hang out. We have a bridal suite at a hotel so there should be space for us.

In terms of a timeline for getting ready I would ask your hair & makeup artist to give you a timeline based on the amount of people and what they are getting done. They do this for a living so are the best at helping out with this!

My girls and I got ready together. Our venue has a large room that is used for getting ready that we used. The room included tables, tall chairs, mirrors, a bathroom, and a couch. I hired a hair and makeup artist and they created the timeline. I wanted everyone getting ready together so that I could spend time with them and for photos.

There’s 6 total in my sisters bridal party including herself and we are all going to be getting ready at the house before heading to the beach for pictures. All the girls are sleeping at the house the night before so it’s just easy for everyone to come downstairs in the morning and the hair and makeup team will be there. We also have the photographer coming around 12pm to start shooting some getting ready shots

As long as you have the space, I think it’d be nice to get ready together and take cute photos. Also, if you hire someone for hair & makeup, usually they’ll let you know what time they need to start in order to have you all ready in time.

If you’re getting ready together, ask whoever is doing your hair and makeup. It all depends on how many people will be working and how intricate hair styles you are getting done. They will be able to give you the best estimate and timeline.
Just check with your bridesmaids to see if that’s what they want to do. See if they have a budget and what it is. If they can’t afford it and you decide to get hair and makeup done separately, have your photographer help pick a time of when everyone should be together to start pictures.
