Bridesmaids Bios

PG, on February 23, 2017 at 7:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

Hey everyone! Quick question. I'm working on my wedding website and under the section for bridesmaids it has "Superlative" and "Bio". I was just going to leave it blank but it looks weird as there is a box. It really stresses me out writing things like that I never know what to say, would it be weird to have them all send me a fun quote to post? Kind of like an adult "Senior Picture" deal? Thoughts?

What if you just describe their relationship to you? Like "bride's sister" or something like that. Also are they all okay with having their pictures on your website?

We cut that part out of the website. Guests are going to your website to learn about the bride and groom and event details. If it's important to you to list the bridal party, cool. But it is 100% not necessary.

When I've seen bridal parties listed on wedding websites, the bio is usually about their friendship with the bride like CMC said! I'd write 2-3 sentences on how you met and how long you've known each other!

I agree with PPs - when I experimented with bridal party bios I just talked about how and when we met, and why we're such good friends.

I think the whole section is weird honestly.

Here's what my friend did as an example:

Coffee met and I in our first week of college. We bonded through the rigors of being business majors, and got together every Tuesday night to watch Gilmore Girls. Little did I know that "Joe" had asked Coffee for help in planning the proposal!

I hid that section for now. If I decide to spend time on it I will probably just say how long we've known each other and how we met.

I think it's the same as programs- No one cares what the stranger's names are.

Nobody reads wedding websites, other than for hotel information.

UPO- I've actually had people reach out to me telling how much they love that portion of my website? My lovely ladies wrote their favorite memory with me... it took a few tries to get some that were website appropriate but they're kind of funny and sweet.

if you want something more basic just write how you met
