Bridesmaids drama

Jes, on November 2, 2023 at 7:47 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9
Long story short my groomsmen and bridesmaids will be paired according to height. One of my bridesmaids is disappointed that her spouse, who is also in the the wedding, will not be partnered with her. Three weeks before the wedding, she has just told me that neither of them feels comfortable being partnered with another person. Should I be strict and tell her that I won't be changing the lineup three weeks before the wedding as it's my wedding?

I would definitely pair the couple together.

I agree with Cece, I would let them walk together and then if you’re having them stand for the ceremony, they could stand in height order, but then walk back down the aisle together as you all proceed out!

I agree with the other posters. The only time I’ve seen couples who were both in the bridal party not be paired together was if 1 was a Maid/Matron of Honor or Best Man and the other was a bridesmaid or groomsman. Also, 3 weeks is still plenty of time to change the order, as the order really only needs to be set like the day before the wedding, during the rehearsal.

While you sometimes see absurd objections to walking with another partner when only one spouse is in the bridal party, it makes no sense whatsoever not to pair them up when both of them are.

Please put yourself in their shoes. They are supporting your marriage and you undermining theirs. Let them walk together

Pair the couple together rather than based of what people look like.

You’re doing all of this based on superficial appearances. I would pair the couple together.

I totally agree with the rest.. Just pair the couple since they are already a couple lol Doesn’t make any sense for them to walk with other people. That’s gonna look so ridiculous. You pair people by height if you want when they’re single but not if both are gonna be in the wedding party lmao. I mean you do you, but I find it a little silly, especially since the couple told you they are not comfortable.

I agree with everyone here to pair them together.

But furthermore, what's the point of pairing by height? I ask because I'm wondering why you're wanting to stick with something that seems so trivial when it makes more sense to pair the couple together.
