Bridesmaids Dresses: Modern or Traditional?

Modern. My girls are in 3 different dressesqith three different colors. Theyare choosing their own hair, make up, jewelry, and shoes.

I’m a traditionalist on this one. I want my bridesmaids wearing the same dress, hairstyle (curled and half up), jewelry (earrings and bracelet), makeup (natural and glowy). It’s going to be mine and my FH’s day, I feel that having my bridesmaids each look different would distract from our attention. I may have my MOH wear a different hairstyle from my bridesmaids, but that’s as far as I’ll probably go.

No bridal party for us but if I were to have bridesmaids I would have wanted a more modern approach. I really like the mismatched but coordinated look.

If I were to have bridesmaids I’d do something similar to this.

I’m a mix of traditional and modern I guess? Majority of my bridesmaids will be in the same dress style, all of them in the exact same color. Two of my bridesmaids follow a strict religious dress code so they are wearing the same designer but the style had to be different. My honor attendant is in the same color but completely unique dress

We'll be modern. Different shades of purple and my MOH is in Rose Gold. They're all in jumpsuits of varying styles.

Modern. My bridal party consist of bridesmaids and bridesmen. The girls are all wearing the same color, but in the dress of their choice (just has to be full length). We are coming up with something fun and modern for the guys as well.

Both a little... I had my bridesmaid dresses custom made so they are all the same except for the MOH of course, but they were free to choose their own style of shoe and hairstyle. I really want everyone to feel fabulous that day....

Modern! My girls each got to pick our their own style, but they ere all from Azazie, long, chiffon, and "dusk" colored. My friend just got married and did the same thing. I have another friend getting married in July and then another getting married next April and they're doing the same thing!

Modern! All of the women will be in the same length gown, but the color will vary within the plum family as well as the design of the dress

A mixture of both… all of my bridemaids will be wearing the same color, style and length of dress (barring my MOH, whose dress has short, off-the-shoulder sleeves); however, I am paying for the girls to have their hair done as they please, whatever jewelry they would like to wear, and whatever type of shoe they're comfortable in.

Modern. they are either going to wear the same dress in different colors, or my choice of same color different dresses

Modern. All four girls have the same dress layout, but there's two different styles. They are free to choose their hairstyle, so they'll be mismatching there as well.

I went traditional! I would have done the modern approach if I had more than my 2 bridesmaids. I think the gradient looks pretty, but felt it would look odd for just 2, personally haha

100% modern - they weren't a dance troupe, they are women of all shapes, sizes and styles lol. We gave them a color (3 colors, 6 women) and said "go to DB, pick out

any long dress you like."

We went more traditional... my opinion everyone wearing a different look, to me is a bit tacky on my opinion only. I prefer everyone to look uniform.

I am not having bridesmaids, but if I was I would totally be modern. I love the look of different shades and styles that compliment each other! Hair/makeup/shoes/accessories would definitely be their choice if I was having them. 😊

I’m uber-modern because I opted out of bridesmaids! Studies show that it’s getting more common, especially for those age 30+

Neither! I plan to have only a maid of honor for my smaller ceremony! If I did have more bridesmaids, I would go the traditional route even though I love the beautiful schemes people are creating!

I’m just asking that my girls wear a certain color and it be long, whatever style they want with whatever accessories and hair style.
