Bridesmaids First Look

I am doing this! I think it's a super cute idea for pictures, & just a fun moment with the girls!

Lots of people do this; you can look on Pinterest for some inspiration for photos!

One of my friends did this and the photos looked really pretty. I did a first look with my dad then with my husband.

I actually haven’t thought of this but it sounds like a cute idea! I feel like if your bridesmaids haven’t seen you in your dress yet it’ll be super sweet to get their initial reactions to it

That sounds like such a fun idea and would be great for photos!

Someone else just posted something very similar! I love the idea but it feels like the reactions are a little forced. My SIL did this and the photographer basically told them how to react to get "the shot".

I just posted the same thing on a thread which asked basically the same question, but will share here as well: I didn't intend to have one, but I ended up having one that happened naturally. In the hotel suite we were getting ready in, the bedroom was completely separate from the living room area, and my mom helped me get into my dress in the bedroom. Then when I came out, all of the bridesmaids sort of reacted to my dress and the photographer captured their reactions. I didn't plan it, but it just sort of happened! Definitely made for some great photos though

No I haven't thought about that because I plan on getting ready with my bridesmaids! I would like to do it with my dad though

I'll definitely be doing a first look with my bridesmaids! I love the idea of it more so with my fiance. I'm also debating on doing a first look with my dad.

This is a cute idea but I would just recommend thinking about the timing. One of my friends did this when I was a bridesmaid and they waited until we were all ready and then didn't tell us where we were going. She opened her gift from her FH while she was getting ready too so we were all just sitting around for over an hour with nothing to do and it was very boring. Additionally, we never saw the photos of our reactions.

Yeah i can understand that. This is why i am not doing a first look with my FH because i have some friends who said it felt forced

Yeah i am considering my dad as well.

I am goign to get my hair and makeup done with them and then let them get dressed and then my mom and I will go in the other room and i woudl walk out once my dress and veil are on
