Bridesmaids’ Gifts and Ideas

Not giving any jewelry, robes, pjs, etc and no names/titles engraved. Instead will be shopping according to their personal interests like it’s their birthday.

I've purchased all of their shoes, customized tumblers with their names on it, jewelry, & an outfit to get ready in.

I am probably going to buy them each a nice bottle of wine or whatever alcohol they like. I personally don’t use monogrammed stuff when I receive it. I’d rather give something that will be used.

I got them customized tumblers and a fancy little pen and some cute will you be my bridesmaid card. all of my bridesmaids loved it. I even have a few who cried.

I think I'm going to do it like Michelle and shop for each of them individually. Maybe do wine or a gift card to their favorite place. I'd rather get them each something different that they would use than get them all the same thing that they don't care for.

I am a quilter. It's something I spend a lot of my spare time doing, so as a surprise I made each one of my bridesmaids a quilt.

However, I've been a bridesmaid countless times, and honestly, I never put much thought into getting a gift. I know some people on different discussions say that anything related to the wedding is not a gift, I however thing anything that the bride thought enough of to give to you in enough. After all, I had agreed to be in the wedding for her, not for the gift

I was thinking of getting the girls robes or pjs, but I feel as if they won't wear it as often. I figured I would get something that they would definitely use. I was gifted jewelry in the past, and while they were beautiful and thoughtful I did not wear them as often. I do like the idea of making it personal based on their interests.

I’m paying for their hair and makeup. Just bought slippers for everyone to wear getting ready and will probably get some cheap shirts but have them wear whatever leggings/sweats they want. I didn’t know we were supposed to be getting them so much stuff! I was thinking about writing a card to each and calling it a day lol. I’ll be paying for food and champagnes during the day too so it adds up fast

Hey there! That’s so sweet that you are going to be getting them a gift. I don’t think you need to go overboard with lots of items or matching stuff.
If you’re thinking about getting them a gift, I’d say 1-2 nicer items is just fine.

As a bridesmaid, my favorite gift I ever got was a handwritten thank you note from the bride for everything we did to prep for the wedding and how much I meant to her as a friend. It was so special to start the wedding day reading it. She also got us all different silver stud earrings that reflected our personality/style.
For my bridesmaids I got them matching robes off of Etsy, different earrings/jewelry that reflects each of their personal style (inexpensive from francescas) and am paying for them to get their hair done. I plan on writing them thank you notes to go with the gifts too.
