Bridesmaids gifts! Or not?

Michelle, on June 30, 2019 at 6:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
Curious to see what everyone got as a gift for their bridesmaids. Or you passed on this. I found these cute pj shorts on Etsy that have their monogram on them! (The ones on top are mine) I also got them a marble tumbler with their names on it. Etsy has been a go to for me with wedding planning.

What did you guys decide to get ? Or did you decide to pass on this?

That’s a lot of stuff! That’s so nice of you. I thought about the robes but for a wedding I was in last year we didn’t end up using them.

I’ve ordered so so much on Etsy and have been happy so far with everything!!

For the wedding party (both groomsmen and bridesmaids) I put together a travel/camping themed packing cube filled with sunnies, a personalized passport with a thank you card, a Bach shirt (guys says Campfire Drunk and the girls says Bachventure Bonfires & Booze), a (e)motion sickness bag with singles for post wedding hangover cure, snacks (s’mores trail mix, spicy local nuts, protein bar) water, wine/beer and some toiletries (sheet mask, sunscreen, bug spray, chapstick) - it’s a week long destination wedding so I wanted to treat them a little but each cube only cost me $60! So I definitely didn’t splurge and waited for sales - total of 4 in the wedding party. Everything was single serve and travel size - except the alcohol 🤣

I got custom passport covers & earrings for the wedding. I specifically picked covers that matched each one's personality and had their names on them. All of my bridesmaids are avid international travelers & our wedding is travel themed so I thought it was perfect. Useful and cute.

I gifted them like it was their bday to their personalities.
Maid and Matron of honor: both are getting Harry Potter throw blankets because we all love HP!

Bridesmaid: book of art from her favorite studio ghibli movie

Bridesmaid: book about the history of tap (shes my dance sister) and a pair of fun earrings

Bridesman: deadpool beer glass and welcome mat for his new house

My FH is making pixel art prints for his groomsmen from their favorite video games and framing them.

    This are such cute ideas!

I just gave my bridesmaids a gift box when I asked them to be part of the wedding. I included a Corksicle canteen (the 'maids got gold, the MOH got black), a framed photo of me and the 'maid (gold and geometric, since that's going to be big in our wedding decor), a split of champagne, and a hand written note to reflect on our friendship and asking them to be a part of the wedding. I wanted to connect everything to our wedding in some way. I'm thinking prior to the wedding that I will give them button down shirts, zip ups or something else to use in getting ready day of.

These are super cute, I'd appreciate them. I personally don't think passing on bridesmaids gifts is even an option. For day of gifts, I got each girl a getting ready outfit, a tote, a water bottle, and a letter from me. I'm also paying for hair and makeup if they want it!

I got my girls blanket scarves, robes, earrings, bracelets, and make up brushes. The scarves, earrings and brushes were all the same. The robes and bracelets were made to fit each girl's taste.

(Ignore the wrinkles, I just unboxed everything).
